Nestled in the Sierras this charming 3 bedroom 2 bath cottage offer plenty to do. Sound of Chowchilla river flowing back of the house make you feel so relaxed. The main living area has a cozy setting that every one can enjoy the fire place and watch TV. Open kitchen will give you room to make your favorite dish at ease. All the utensils are in place and for your convenience & the cabinets have been labeled. Free WiFi and only Verizon cell service will work at the house. Patio has a charcoal BBQ for all your BBQ needs. Guests can enjoy sitting at the picnic bench and watch occasional Deer and Turkey walk through the back yard.
Master bedroom has a king bed with an attached toilet, 2nd bedroom has queen bed and the 3rd room has a twin size bed and a twin bunk bed for the kids. Guest can enjoy the open floor plan of the house. Walking to the river it is short walk down the hill in the back yard. It is a great place to relax, listening to the water flow. During the winter months, warm up with the wood burning stove and standard gas heating at the house. Some winters there will be 1 to 2 inches of snow. For all the shooting enthuses there is a free shooting rang couple of minutes’ drive towards the national forest. It is a nice drive and also you can enjoy the beautiful views of the mountain range.
The property is located between Mariposa and Oakhurst town close to Hwy 49. Mariposa is a historic town and the house is located 25 minutes away from the property. The town has wonderful restaurants & bars. You could visit the Museum & Historic Center, California State Mining & Mineral Center, Zip line and Aerial Adventure parks and also can visit the Mariposa County Old Stone Jail while you are there. You will find interesting shopping, including antiques and western/cowboy themed memorabilia.
From this mountain getaway, you can easily explore Yosemite valley, Mariposa Gold Country, and the Wild and Scenic Merced River. It is about a hour drive to the Yosemite park entrance. Choose from so many activities: hike Yosemite's spectacular trails, take a leisurely bike ride or float on a raft through Yosemite Valley in the Merced river and backpacking.
