The room was very small, smell old, and had bad ventilation. Everything in the room was cheap and overly used. The toilet and bathroom were old, stained, and smelly. Certinly overpaid for a hotel room that was way overdue for renovation. Felt like the owner is milking every penny of profit without putting something back into fixing the hotel.

Nice place, but not the room we booked!
Clean, nice and spacious room, but not the room that we had booked. We booked a standard room, with double bed, but we got a room with two small single beds instead. We came around 9PM and the reception closed at 5PM, so we didn't bother to call them to arrange for a new room at that hour, since we basically just needed a place to sleep for the night. That said, it didn't look like the hotel was to busy, so it should not have been any problem to check our reservation, and provide us with the booked room. Except of that, room was nice, spacious and clean, with a good location, in the city.

Välj ett annat hotell
Sunkigt hotell med total avsaknad av bekvämligheter och service. Rummet kändes som att det var inspirerat av rysk inredning, totalt smaklös. AC saknades och rummet var väldigt varmt och kvavt. Handdukar saknades, det fick vi hämta själva. Balsam saknades och schampo/duschkrämen verkade utblandad med vatten. Frukosten bestod mest av småförpackningar och det som inte låg förpackat kom direkt från en förpackning. Inget extra och långt ifrån det som numera är frukoststandard på de flesta hotell. Dessutom spelades hetsig jazz i högtalarna ovanför frukostbuffén, allt för att skynda på utfodringen. Personalen gick runt i privata kläder och sneakers, såg ohygieniskt ut och inte professionellt. Vi betalade 500:- för att ha med oss hund och vad fick vi för det? Vattenskål, hundgodis…ett välkommen? Nej, inget alls och inget av det som man brukar få på hotell som säger sig vara hundvänliga. Vi fick inte sitta inomhus och fick inte heller gå till terrassen via den vanliga utgången. Vägen till frukosten fick istället gå vägen förbi soptunnorna... Nä det här hotellet va bisarrt, dom leker hotell och tar betalt för en hotellstandard som de inte lever upp till. Lägg pengarna på ett annat hotell är vårt tips.
Paljettkuddar och porslinskaktusar, seriöst?! Mer "tacky" än så här blir det inte.

Kylanläggning och frukost
Vi hade ett par fantastiska dagar i Mariestad. Då det gäller hotellet har vi ett par synpunkter; det var fruktansvärt varmt på rummet under en av nätterna (värmebölja). Man var tvungen att ha minst två fönster öppna för korsdrag samt ett par bordsfläktar stå på hela tiden. Varför inte installera en värmeluftpump med kylförmåga?? Kanske man också skulle satsa lite mer på frukost, t ex nybakat bröd, våfflor o få till lite myskänsla.
