Cudden View - Character & Spacious Cottage. Private Balcony. Sea & Coastal Views

CUDDEN VIEW COTTAGE has 1 bedroom sleeping 2 people (plus baby). It has its own private balcony, with spectacular views of Cudden Point and Mount's Bay. It has open-plan lounge, dining area and kitchen, with French doors opening out directly onto the sizeable balcony. Cudden View Cottage is tucked away down a quiet lane off the main street, and has the advantage, very rare in Marazion, of on-site allocated private parking. Short Breaks available November to March.
During your stay at this cottage, you're just a quick walk from Cornwall Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The cottage offers free WiFi and a kitchen.
  • The cottage offers a kitchen, a washing machine, and a balcony

We had a lovely weeks stay here in Marazion the property being in a perfect position for everything. The house had everything we required and was spotless. Nice to sit out on the wooden terrace and overlook the sea! Richard was the perfect host and I would not hesitate to come back again, which we hope to next year.

HOME AWAY FROM HOME
Lovely comfortable cottage in a very good location for walking into Marazion. Parking a bonus although the lane is very narrow. Cool in the bedroom as it’s downstairs so slept really well. Richard, the host, was really friendly and looked after us well. Access to the property is via external stairs to the balcony/upper lounge. Quiet location, although the road does run behind the property. Would definitely recommend

Great location for exploring South West Cornwall
Cudden View is a great little property, perfect for couples. It has everything you need for a relaxing holiday. The property was very clean and Richard greeted us on arrival and showed us how everything worked. The property comes with its own parking space which is a real bonus and it’s easy walking distance to all the local amenities. There are mixed reviews about the view from the deck. So my honest opinion is that you have lovely views across the rocks towards Cuuden Point. But to see St Michael’s Mount you need to be standing and looking across the roof of Richards house. Not a problem at all, but like to give an honest review. There was a welcome pack of tea, coffee, sugar, milk and a packet of biscuits which was lovely. Things like washing up liquid, cleaning cloths, soap etc were also provided. The bedroom was very spacious as was the bathroom, it was nice to have a separate bath and shower. There is a washer dryer in the property which was handy for a quick mid-week wash. The property was clean on arrival. I would say that some areas were in need of updating but overall for the cost this accommodation was spot on. One other thing mentioned by a previous reviewer is that you could get out via a back gate, this seems to no longer be the case, but it is still only a short walk back along the lane to get to the road.

A Relaxing Retreat
We have been traveling around for a few months and this is the first place we stayed that was actually better than the description. The view from the deck is fantastic. We could sit and watch the waves crashing against the rocks all day. And you can even see St. Michael's Mount from there. It has everything you need--a fully equipped kitchen, a place to park, a washing machine and plenty of room to stretch out if you've been staying in cramped hotel rooms for the last few weeks. We were sorry we couldn't stay longer.

Warm friendly with great views
Great property in marazion ,from the directions into cottage to any questions we needed a quick answer for Richard was at the end of the phone to help at anytime. We were made to feel very welcome on arival and soon got settled in.Unfortunately the weather was wet most of the time we were there but place was well heated up and downstairs so we didnt take long to dry out when ever we got wet ,like returning from the closest pub the "fire engine" which was about 200yds walk out of back gate.the view was fantastic off our upstairs decking which looked out over the sea in one direction and st michaels mount over the other which would be stunning in the summer sitting out watching sunset also there is a window where you can look at the seaview in the warm. You can catch bus very close to go to Penzance about 3miles and other places to.the bathroom includes a nice bath as well as shower etc. There are adequate kitchen utencils to do your cooking and eating also a pint of milk when you get there with tea coffee etc.parking is great off road 50 feet away max. After visiting this property and meeting Richard who is a wonderful gentleman we wouldnt hesitate to come back again at a later date

A great spot for a break, good space for a couple, the pictures did not do the view credit, it is beautiful, the hills down to the sea can be easily seen from the modest balcony. Good base to walk the cliffs and to Penzance and other places

A great seaside bolt hole
Spent a week here working while exploring the far end of Cornwall. The cottage is small but perfect for solo or couple travellers. Richard, the host, met me at check in and showed me around and was always available if I needed anything. The only thing to note is that the lane to the cottage is very narrow so anyone with a big SUV or MPV might struggle.

Good for two
Good view, the accommodation was ok for two people situated close to the village and had a parking space which is essential in my opinion, good for coastal walks also easy to drive to points of interest further afield. Would have liked more information in the building regarding how to work the oven and heating etc but to quote the owner " you only have to ask if you need anything " so all in all a good base to explore the area.

An apartment with a wonderful view
Just experienced a lovely week in Marazion staying at Cudden View. We loved the upside down layout making the most of the sea views. We had everything we needed for relaxing and cooking plus the all important private parking space! Richard and Sarah were perfect hosts and Richard was happy to provide plenty of information on arrival. It was a short stroll into the centre of Marazion with several good pubs and restaurants. We hope to be back again in the near future!

Perfect all round stay
The property had everything needed for the week, was ideal all round with the amenities and facilities provided for a fabulous stay. It is ideally located for exploring this corner of Cornwall and Marazion itself has some excellent pubs & restaurants, booking is essential at these - especially at this time of year! Would thoroughly recommend this charming attractive property and location.

Great base for exploring
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and it’s a great base for exploring the local area. The cottage is very comfortable with a very warm welcome from the owners. It had everything we needed - a comfy bed, comfy sofa, enough crockery and cutlery, decent pans etc. to cook if we wanted to and the washer/dryer was very useful as we stayed for a fortnight. The cottage is situated down a little lane, just a few minutes walk into the centre of Marazion and with a parking space (a must have visiting in August). It’s brilliant for exploring the area as you’ve got all the advantages of being by the sea and in a pretty village location but handy for the A30 - not having to negotiate winding Cornish lanes every time we wanted to go out made everything easier. There are some nice pubs in Marazion - all doing smaller than usual menus at the moment and booking is pretty much essential. Our favourite was The Fire Engine Inn, which does lovely food and also has a beer garden with a lovely view (and is also handily the closest) and we also liked the Mexico Inn in Longrock. Thank you Richard and Sarah for making us so welcome!
