Pinewood is a 2 bedroom (sleeps 4) semi-detached house on the outskirts of Edwinstowe village in Sherwood Forest, Nottinghamshire. Edwinstowe is associated with the Robin Hood and Maid Marian legends. A well-appointed cosy home from home with an outside space, all in all a perfect place to base yourselves to relax, unwind and enjoy all that is beautiful about this part of Nottinghamshire and easy to reach surrounding counties.
Guests will have privacy and access to the entire house which includes ground floor kitchen and open plan lounge. Access to the rear garden is from the kitchen via French doors. The spacious master bedroom, second bedroom and bathroom are accessed via the stairs off the lounge.
The lounge is a relaxing space with a modern feel, comfortable seating and TV.
The modern kitchen with seating area is fully equipped with all the essential cutlery, crockery, glassware, pots, pans and cooking utensils.
Both bedrooms have a modern fresh airy feel with wardrobes and chest of draws for your storage needs.
The wet room bathroom has a rainfall shower, basin, WC and under floor heating.
The outside space is private and a great area to unwind and relax. Garden furniture is available and a BBQ can be available for use with prior arrangements.
Location
Edwinstowe is a charming village within walking distance from Pinewood. An ideal location to explore local attractions such as Sherwood Forest Visitor Centre and Nature Reserve with the famous Major Oak. Sherwood Pines with its excellent cycle routes and paths. Clumber Park and Rufford Park with their beautiful grounds to explore. Sherwood Forest Arts and Craft Centre and Café. Sherwood Center Parcs is on the A614 junction of the main road into the village.
The village has a variety of individual and unique shops, where you can browse for that perfect souvenir or gift, as well as a butchers, bakers, newsagent and supermarket.
A number of pubs in the village serve food, the surrounding areas also have a host of bars and restaurants.
Getting around
On foot or by bike is a great way to explore the area and enjoy the beautiful countryside with an abundance of trails. There is a bus service, the bus stops only a short walk away with services into Mansfield, Newark, Nottingham, Ollerton, Tuxford, Walsbey and Worksop.
The Robin Hood railway line runs from Nottingham to Worksop in Nottinghamshire and Shirebrook and Whitwell in Derbyshire. The easiest station to access the line is Mansfield (7 miles).
The East Coast line runs from London Kings Cross to Edinburgh, Newark North Gate station is 16 miles from Pinewood. East Midland Railway runs from Nottingham station (22 miles) and serves many local and national stations. The A1, M1 and M18 are easily accessible from the village.
