Set in the countryside and village of Wix, this substantial sized property provides the perfect accommodation for parties up to 6 (plus one via put up bed with cot bed also available). The bungalow offers one king bedroom with shower en suite, two twin bedrooms with one that can be made a double, 5 piece family bathroom and large living room with a feature country style fireplace. With rolling fields to the side, you can enjoy peaceful days and nights in the superbly presented garden which also enjoys sun all day long! If you are looking to explore further afield, Frinton on Sea is within 10 miles drive away where you can explore the beautiful beach and greensward as well as access to the A12 giving routes to Colchester, Chelmsford and Ipswich.

We took the younger family members and survived
Nice location and property. A little extra tlc on cleaning certain areas needs viewing. We did not take towels with us as stated linen provided so assumed wrongly that they were included so had to go and buy some ( our mistake) Good spacious rooms and overall all enjoyed our stay.

Ruim vakantieverblijf
Het is een ruime vakantiewoning doch, sterk verouderd. De woning was niet helemaal goed schoon. Het was waarschijnlijk al een tijdje niet bewoond geweest. Bij binnenkomst was het warm en muf. De vriezer was waarschijnlijk open blijven staan daar deze helemaal vol met ijs zat (hebben we zelf opgelost, vriezer is weer schoon en werkt uitstekend). In de keuken en in de badkamer stonk het. Een lucht die me deed denken aan rottend water. Vermoedelijk is er zowel in de badkamer als in de keuken een hele kleine lekkage. Het hang- en sluitwerk van het separate toilet valt soms uit de deur. De droogmolen en het bankje in de tuin waren bedekt met duivenpoep. Dit klinkt wellicht als harde kritiek maar, zo hebben we het aangetroffen. Als er net iets meer aandacht wordt gegeven aan het huisje en de spullen is het een prachtige vakantiewoning om te verblijven als je met de boot aankomt of voordat je met de boot vertrekt. In de omgeving is weinig te doen. Het dorpje Wix heeft alleen een lokale pup. Het stadje Ipswich (30 min rijden) is gezellig om te winkelen. Voordeel van de locatie, je bent binnen 15 min in Harwich om de boot te nemen.
