This hotel is very nice situated 2 minute’s walk from the theater Amazonia. I enjoyed the stay and the breakfast. The reception was always there to help and answer any questions you might have. Internet connection was good. Overall I recommend staying there.
The hotel was nice and in a great location in the Centro. The service was excellent, buffet breakfast was good, and they maintained our room very clean. The price was almost five times the regular price because of the World Cup but this was true for every hotel everywhere. Overall, we were very satisfied with our stay.
Very tight quarters but acceptable. It was clean but not worthy of more than a two star rating. We were there at the time of the World Cup games so the prices may have reflected that, but it was too costly for the amenities provided. The same hotel in the USA or Europe would have cost US $60-75.

Ok for normal price
Stayed here for FIFA World Cup...they jacked up the prices 10x but didn't up the service to match price. The location was great though.

It does the job
We actually spent two different nights there--the first night the air-conditioner worked very well and the second night the air-conditioner took a while to function. One thing that was good about the second night that we had there was that the Internet signal near the stairwell is very strong and we were able to get Internet in our room. Our first night room was located far from the stairwell and thus could only get Internet if you walked down the hallway. Other than that the location was close to shopping and Amazon theater but got a little sketchy at night.
They overcharged taking advantage of the world cup . I feel I was robbed. The manager is nasty with no ethics
I ould not wait to leave , probably the worst hotel I ever have been.
EXPEDIA SHOULD ELIMINATE THIS HOTEL ON ITS RECOMENDATIONS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Perfectly nice little hotel in the centre of Manaus, near Opera House (Teatro Amazon) and its square.
Very helpful staff.

Clean affordable place
The rooms (we booked before and after an amazon jungle tour) were clean, bright and had the right amentities. No one really spoke English or Spanish but we made do and everyone was nice/friendly. Breakfast is good and starts at 630am which was perfect for our 7am pick up. I would recommend it. It is also by the amazon theater and not far from a large street with shops. The street itself isn't great but other than that no complaints.

Central location
Very friendly and helpful staff. Inexpensive. Basic facilities and breakfast but adequate for someone who simply needs a place to sleep. Centrally located, close to several historical buildings, but the area is busy, dirty and practically deserted after 8pm. As a business traveller who simply needed a place to stay at the end of the day, I would return to this hotel.
The only good thing about this hotel is the fact that it is close to the Theater Amazonas.

An old hotel right in downtown
This is an old hotel on a busy street. The entrance is almost invisible. The lobby is very small but you get a good view of the street and the people traffic. The is a tiny elevator that leads to a typical old Brazilian hotel corridor - the overhead lights come on as you head for your room. My room was small. There was a large amount of old Amazon wood on the frames - the whole room had an antiquated appearance. Nevertheless it was immaculately clean. Airconditioning is via a window unit, and is noisy. A surprise was the upstairs cafeteria where breakfast is served - excellent menu choice (no hot food) in a sunny, modern room. The hotel has a fantastic downtown location a few blocks from the Mercado, the Port and also the Opera. I was there during the pre-Christmas period, and the streets were even more crowded than usual, even until late at night. Hotel amenities are limited - a room safe at extra charge and free web access (no business center or computers available).
