Horizons 4 is a great condo complex located just off of Old Mammoth Road. This prime location puts you within walking distance to several shops, restaurants, and grocery stores. During the winter, the Green Line Shuttle (a free service) stops nearby the complex and travels to the Eagle Lodge and The Village. During warmer season, enjoy the close by hiking/biking trails and golf courses.

The complex amenities are managed by the HOA, they have closed the pool, hot tub and rec center till the first week of August for repairs.

The living room has 2 couches and a loveseat placed next to the fireplace. On a chilly night or after a day on the slopes, light the wood burning fireplace to warm yourself and set a cozy ambiance. There is a flat screen TV nearby, so you can end your nights watching a movie with your loved ones. A DVD player and WIFI are provided for your entertainment.

The kitchen is equipped with a toaster, drip coffee maker, blender, slow cooker, pots/pans and more. There are updated white appliances and a generous amount of counter space. The dining table is steps away with seating for 6.

The doors to the balcony are also nestled away in this corner. Step outside to enjoy your private balcony and the surrounding views. Firewood is often stored out here for your free use.

The master bedroom is furnished with a Queen bed, a Twin bunk bed, small TV, and has an attached bathroom. The master bathroom has a standalone shower and spacious vanity. Down the hall is the guest bedroom. This bedroom is similarly arranged with a Queen bed and a Twin bunk bed. A guest bathroom is available with a shower/tub combo and separate vanity.

There are 2 outdoor parking spots with permits. The community sauna, hot tub, rec room, and laundry facilities are available year round. The recreation room has a ping pong table, pool table, and video games. The communal pool, tennis court, picnic area, and BBQ stations are only available during the summer.

- Horizons 4 is not a pet friendly complex.
- Commencing on April 22nd, all amenities (sauna, bathrooms, jacuzzi and laundry room) will not be operational during this time.
- Please note that both the pool and Jacuzzi are out of order until further notice.

Terrible - property cancelled our reservation
Worst customer service I have experienced. We booked a 4 night stay and on the day before our scheduled check in, the property management contacted us and said our reservation had been cancelled and said there was no explanation why. We paid in full and are awaiting our refund which we were told would be given. In addition, VRBO wasn’t notified about the cancellation and we are receiving communication as if we “enjoyed” our stay. Never going thru this property or owner again.

Outdated Property
This rental was definitely not what we were expecting. Property is definitely outdated, had a really bad odor to the property. In the bathroom if you looked up it looks like mold is starting to form. It is a good location as we could walk to and from restaurants and market. Ohh and definitely a great spot to see bears! We had to stay out most of the time due to the bad smell of the property.

Overall experience wasn’t a good experience
Apron check in there was no key in lock box, master towel bar fell off the hinges ( we barley touched it) the window tracks were full of dirt and flys, the TV in living room had two large black lines threw the screen. To cook top electric burners we’re severely at a title it made it had to cook.. the reset WiFi still didn’t work. The BBQ utensils outside were attached and needed to be cleaned. Mold in 2nd bathroom tub. Mold in master shower ceiling

Very outdated apartment
My 10 yo old son wrote this review!! We all very disappointed!!!. First, when I saw the picture it look like a huge amazing condo. I was super hyped to have a good vacation. When I pulled up to the say so condo it turned out to be a very old outdated apartment. I opened the door and what I saw surprised me. A brown/black/green carpet was on the ground. The carpet extended into the bathroom which was not fun. After I took a shower the carpet would get soaked and would take a long time to dry. Next, the apartment looks so bright in the pictures, but super dark when you really see it. There are only 2 lights in the living room which makes the apartment very dark. In both of the rooms half of the lights don’t work. Also, the apartment is very old it needs a huge upgrade! Pillows are gross and disgusting the red pillows have gross white spills. The brown pillows are super old and super flat and uncomfortable. The sofa was 50 years old so very old. Furniture is very old and falling apart. Towel hangers are broken . Then, the shower would get boiling hot water that you can’t stand, if you turn on the cold water it would get super cold and you can’t find the exact temperature of water and is too cramped to for adults to take a shower. Only cons: enough room to sleep, and close to ski resorts.

The condition of the condo was less than adequate. It was not at all well-maintained. Carpets were dirty, kitchen utensils, pots and pans were very old, coffee machine did not work and the heather in the master bedroom did not turn off. However, when contacted to fix the problems, the staff were quick and courteous.

Ski weekend- don't recommend
We knew going in this property was older, but we had issue after issue. First off, we emailed a week in advance asking about an extra parking spot- the management company said to contact the on-site property management team. Upon arrival I stopped by the office and he informed me that NO it was supposed to be the property owners or management company who request an extra spot. He was nice enough to take our car model down and said no issue, but what if he hadn't we would've had to call Property Mgt company or go find a parking spot somewhere else. The Kitchen sink stunk, so we plugged the sink hole with a measuring cup. The drawer to the right of the oven falls back into the cabinet at an angle. My fiancee tried to fix but then it fell again. So the track must be broken or something. The heater in the master wouldn't turn down, so we slept with the window open. We informed the Property Mgt Co pay who sent someone out to fix. All they did was replaced the knob and said it was good to go. We tried turning it down to 50 and it felt like it was 75 in that room, so we slept again with window open. The master shower we noticed on the first day did not have a great seal on the head with water coming out the sides and spraying the wall. On the 2nd day, we were using and tried to adjust for a better angle when the shower head came completely off. My friend was in the shower and black stuff from pipes got on her and shower. So she had to switch to other shower to clean herself off from the gunk. Right before the shower incident while about to get in the shower, the towel holder broke and fell off the wall. They also mention DVD player, but they only had 1 DVD to watch. All the wood on the balcony is too large to burn in the fireplace and without a hatchet to break it down the wood doesn't actually catch fire. I emailed the property management team with the shower issues and they didn't seem to be too concerned and were thankful we informed them. Overall I would not go back or recommend this property to anyone.

I'm fine with the decor being outdated, but the carpet was really gross and old, the condo smelled very musty, and everything just felt dirty. Also, there was mold in the showers. I've stayed at many condos over the years in Mammoth and this one was the worst I've ever stayed in.

Well maintained and the description was accurate.
I have stayed in similar units in the past and was cautiously optimistic about this rental. It paid off! The place is in great shape. Good appliances in the kitchen, comfortable beds and a quiet location. I would stay here again in a flash. Of course it helped that Mammoth got 3 feet of snow immediately prior to our arrival and it kept snowing while we were these. The skiing was fantastic. And happy hour at Slocums is standard for a cheap dinner, good beer and drinks. Early dinner, early to bed, early to hit the slopes. All easy from this unit.

The condo was comfortable and cozy. Easily fit the stated amount of people. Very well maintained and had the woodsie cabin feel to it. Slopes are easily accessible by the local free shuttle in front of the complex. Would stay there again.

Badly needs a remodel.
This unit is a small, dark condo that hasn’t seen an upgrade since the 80’s. On the plus side, there are bunk beds in each room, so four kids can sleep in the unit. The queen beds, however, are old and the mattresses are higher at your feet than head, making for an uncomfortable nights sleep. There are only two pillows per bed, which are very flat and almost worthless for head support. The furniture in the living area has no seat support, so you sink in up to your knees when sitting. The kitchen has a stove which has two burner setttings: lukewarm and cinders, which make cooking a frustrating experience. All the kitchen Teflon pans should have been thrown out years ago, as the coating has long been chipped and burned off. The carpet is dark brown and has black spots everywhere, and extends into the bathroom and doesn’t dry well from the shower. The shower itself is fine for kids but a tight squeeze for an adult. The water heater is set to scalding, so be very careful when your kids take a shower. Pros: has an old-style mud room which is huge and does an excellent job of keeping wet clothes and equipment away from the living area. Heaters in the unit work well— we were not cold. Overall, I think the place is fine for a group of teens looking for a place to just crash for a night and eat out, but even so, there are better places available for the money.
