The room was decorated very nicely and a small welcome gift of hershey's chocolate kisses in a pretty box with a ribbon was on the bed. The hotel was located on the edge of a state park by the lake and it was nice to walk around the area before dark. However, the room was very small and we had to climb a narrow staircase with torn indoor/outdoor carpeting to get to it. The bed was uncomfortable and there was inadequate lighting in the room.

This is a wonderful place. The staff was awesome. The rooms are super clean but the highlight is the picturesque view of the bridge. A must stay!

Staff booked our ferry ride and had them pick us up. Great location very walkable to restaurants. Could use a microwave and updated mattress and pillows. View of mackinaw bridge was amazing.

The Riviera Motel exceeded our expectations and made us feel very welcome! We only stayed for one night, before our overnight trip to Mackinac Island. When we checked into the Riviera Motel, the owner spoke a mile a minute, describing all of the places we might want to visit: recommended dining within walking distance; sold us discounted tickets for the ferry round trip with no date or time limits; got us pick up and drop off shuttle service for the ferry; warned us that one of the ferry services was not available; and even allowed us to park our car overnight at his motel while we went to Mackinac Island at no cost. It's not a fancy motel, but the view of the bridge and Lake Michigan is spectacular! The bridge is lit up in colors at night. The location is right next to the Fort Michilimackinac and Lake Michigan, and an easy walk to downtown. I highly recommend this motel if you are not looking for luxury accommodations!

Can't beat the location, with beautiful views of the Mackinaw Bridge and Mackinaw Island. A 5 minute walk to the shops and restaurants. The rooms were very clean, and updated. The staff was very friendly.
