Ludlow offers a great selection of artisanal shops unique to the town as well as Joules White stuff and Fatface so shopping was a cert. Castle closed for food festival starting day we left Hotel food was as expected the £33 steak being tougher than it had any right to be but starters great and shared cheese board excellent. Breakfast fare was usual hotel stamp - bland hash brown big flabby soggy mushroom and uninspiring sausage Service in restaurant excellent but otherwise there was a lot of waiting around -? more staff needed

Our room was absolutely gorgeous. It was extremely roomy overlooking the high street. The bathroom was also spacious and had a lovely shower. We came back late on the Saturday night and the staff helped us find somewhere to get food. They were so helpful. And breakfast....the food was delicious. We will 100% be back Location is right in the middle of Ludlow and everything was walkable

Great location and lovely hotel. The service was slow but the chef was ill so they had a stand in. Breakfast was okay but expensive at £15.85.

Loved the history of the property and quirky features.. excellent location parking could be difficult at times as the hotel was very busy. We had a room at the front of the hotel so we did get some street noise during the night, but it was the weekend with people being out and about enjoying themselves. If we’d realised we would have requested a room at the back of the hotel. So something to note.

The property is very old but quaint. Our room was nice at the front of the building but it sloped, even the bed was on a slant. It felt strange walking around it but it was fine. Everywhere was very clean and tge staff very friendly and helpful.

The Feathers is a beautiful historic building tastefully brought up to date, in the centre of thriving Ludlow. The room was bijou but comfortable and had everything we needed. The waterfall shower was lovely. Fresh milk was provided for the room on request. The staff were all extremely helpful and ithe breakfast delicious, if a little on the expensive side. £15.95 per person is a lot and we would have appreciated having simpler cheaper options available. Parking was extra, which we felt was a bit cheeky for guests at your hotel but we got a good deal on the room to offset that. Ludlow itself is gorgeous with lots to do and we stayed for three nights without having to move the car once, there is that much to do.

Terrible room-barely enough space for one person, never mind two. The cupboard doors couldn’t open fully, there was only one bedside table, the bed was too soft, the bathroom had hairs on the wall, the shower overflowed, flooding the floor so we had to use the towels to mop it up, and the next day, the bed was hardly made (it was as I left it) and the bathroom was not cleaned. We had to get some Tesco cleaning products to give it a good wipe. Never staying here again. Also, parking is extra as is the very expensive cooked breakfast that really wasn’t exactly that exciting or very much of it. Not worth the money we paid. If this room and experience was because we didn’t book directly with the hotel, this booking site should have a word with them because I would be reluctant to use the site again.

Stay in a Tudor inn
This is an amazing building dating back to 1619 that’s been beautifully renovated. Rooms and bathrooms are very comfortable. There’s parking at the back but is not included. Breakfast we thought is expensive at over £15 and it would have been nice to have a cheaper continental option.
