This hotel is right across the street from the Lourdes Sanctuary. It’s incredibly convenient to pass back and forth between the hotel and the sanctuary throughout the day. You can’t do any better than this hotel for that aspect. The hotel itself is older but well maintained. The staff are friendly and helpful. The room was also a really good size for a single room! It had a full size bed in it, which was really comfortable with great linens. The room was generally very clean with the exception of spider webs around the windows and quite. A bit of hair on the floor in the bathroom, especially in the corners. Otherwise though, it was well taken care of. Overall, I was really comfortable at this hotel and would absolutely stay here again if I’m lucky enough to return to Lourdes.

We loved the location of this place. It was directly across the road from the sanctuary!! We were also fortunate to have a room on the corner with a balcony so we had perfect views. The hotel isn’t your normal flash modern hotel but it was perfect for our needs. It was clean, and spacious. The hotel staff were lovely and very helpful. Would stay here again. Would recommend this place to anyone visiting Lourdes who wants to be close to the sanctuary and grotto. 5 stars from me.

Great hotel. You get what you pay for. Very close to Lourdes. Great staff, breakfast was croissant, bread, jam, butter, orange juice and coffee.

Disgustingly dirty carpets and terrible quality of bedding (torn with holes in it). Great location. We didn't eat the breakfast as the hotel is filthy. Rather stay somewhere else.

One block from the basilica, the grotto, everything you'd want to see regarding St. Bernadette. Rooms were comfortable but old. Service was outstanding. Everyone went out of the way to help you. You couldn't be closer to the grotto than this. The weather was cold and it might have been out of season but, 50$ a night can't be beat for being so close to such an important religious site.

Placed very close to the grotto grounds
Welcome by staff very warm! absolute pleasure to be greeted by a warm and friendly smile. we were accommodated in a room that had argueably the best view of the grotto grounds. i will definitely recommend this hotel to everyone!!!

Rosaries a go-go
We went to Lourdes to see the Tour de France, but being of a Catholic persuasion we also dipped into the shrine goings on. Hotel Royal is in the epicentre of rosary shops, shrine etc, 2 minutes from the Sanctuary and grotto. Brilliant location. Rooms are a bit jaded but clean, bathrooms OK, comfy bed, TV. Noisy at night if you keep the window open for some air - hundreds of young volunteers - and - others - help at the shrine by day and party at night! We didn't try the hotel restaurant, plenty of reasonably priced cafes and restaurants within a stone's throw.

So close to the Domain, the hotel was perfect for us as we were working in the Accueil and needed only a bed and shower at a reasonable price. Exceeded expectations, clean, comfortable and friendly. We stayed room only and ate at the Abri. We brought a travel kettle and they gave us free fresh milk whenever we asked.

Friendly staff, great location!!!
This hotel is in a very good location!!! It is just steps away from the Lourdes sanctuary. I could see the gate from the balcony of the room and even the Notra Dame of Lourdes. I was there for a day stay and leaving very early the following day and the bus starts at 7am so the front desk personnel was kind enough to get me a taxi to the train stations even though he is still not officially working.
