Situated in the beautiful and tranquil secure gated resort of Palmyra, in Vila Sol, this spacious south-facing 1st floor apartment sleeps 4 people and provides great amenities and comfort from which you can enjoy your Algarve experience.

The apartment has a spacious lounge / dining room as well as a dining terrace overlooking the gardens which enjoys the sun all day long. You can also dine on the top sun-roof where you will find a BBQ and enjoy the stunning views. You can either relax in complete privacy on comfortable loungers on the large roof terrace which overlooks the pool and landscaped gardens or head to one of the resort's 3 beautiful pools.

The apartment is well equipped with kitchen utensils, has free WIFI and up to 58 different English TV channels, plus a range of games, books and DVDs. We also provide a child's cot, high-chair and booster seats if you have a little ones with you.

Vila Sol offers a small selection of bars and restaurants within walking distance, including Oscars bar / grill (who also offer a takeaway service) as well as traditional pub food. If you want something a bit special but still on the door step then head over to the Moon Restaurant and Cocktail Lounge and savour the international gastronomy delights its renowned for or the very pleasant Wine Bistro. All are located a 10 minute walk from Palmyra. There is also a small convenience store which has a nice cafe which serves breakfast, snacks and brunch.

Located approximately 25 minutes from Faro airport, and just a 7 minute drive from the Marina of Vilamoura with its trendy shops, restaurants & bars. You can walk if you prefer, this takes around 50 minutes, but is not recommended with children as there are parts without a pavement. We recommend that you hire a car to fully enjoy exploring the region. Underground parking sits beneath the apartment and the apartment has a dedicated parking space.

The resort is a short walk from the 5* Pestana Vila Sol Hotel Spa and golf course where you can enjoy a game of golf, or tennis followed by lunch on the terrace which overlooks the beautiful course. If you're a golf enthusiast, you're utterly spoilt for choice with an abundance of so many championship courses within easy reach.

If you're a beach lover, you are just a short drive from the long sandy beaches located either side of Vilamoura, equipped with sun beds, parasols with an abundance of cafes and restaurants to choose from for lunch. A drive further west takes you to the rocky smaller coves and spectacular caves that the Algarve is famous for. For families with children, a trip to the neighbouring water park is sure to be a highlight of their holiday.

If you love shopping, you must find time to visit the beautiful market town of Loule (approximately 20 minutes drive) with its famous indoor market (and outdoor market on Saturdays), selling local produce and beautiful arts and crafts. Faro old town also offers many charming shops and restaurants, located a short walk from the marina, and the Award winning Mar Shopping Centre with Designer Village might mean you need an extra suitcase. Quinta shopping in Quinta do Lago offers multiple designer fashion boutiques with Quinta price tags! Since Palmyra is in the area known as the 'golden triangle' you don't need to travel more than 20-25 minutes to access all of these amenities.

After doing any of these activities, you'll look forward to returning to the serenity of Palmyra where you can relax and enjoy watching the sun go down with a chilled glass of Portuguese rose! Simply perfect.

Lovely Apartment
We had a fantastic stay as return visitors to this lovely apartment in Palmyra. Everything was just right in the apartment. The balcony/dining area is great and the kitchen is well equipped. Communication with Nicola is really good and Palmyra is a fantastic place to stay.

I found that the apartment is really lovely, set in well landscaped gardens. The apartment has all the necessary facilities with secure premises. The under house parking is a bonus. There are several good golf courses in easy location and also some very good restaurants. Of all the places we’ve stayed at this ranks the highest for easy location to the airport, great services in and around the apartment, restaurants, beach and marina, Saturday market in Loule and much more. Fantastic stay in beautiful apartment
We had a brilliant week stay in Palmyra. The apartment was in lovely condition, decorated very nicely and had everything we needed. The balcony and furniture is fantastic. The pool area is great and the landscaping is lovely. We didn’t hire a car and found it really easy to get around by Uber. There was lots to do locally for teens (water park, water sports on nearby beaches, tennis, golf, marina). There are so many great restaurants within a 10-30min drive of Palmyra we didn’t get to try all that we wanted. It’s a 20-25min walk to Vila Sol cafe, restaurant and mini supermarket. There are two supermarkets within 10mins drive. We will definitely come back.

After 18 months of lockdown and a lousy holiday in UK August weather, this was just what we needed. Lovely, spacious, apartment with all the amenities you could possibly need provided. I could even watch all my favourite Sports on UK TV. The owners were extremely helpful, the gardens and pool very well maintained and extremely clean. Close to the golf courses and a €10 ride to the marina. Supermarket a 5 min ride in the car. And the weather…….stunning. We’ll be coming back, without a doubt!

Fantastic location, fantastic facilites, fantastic owner
Our family has recently enjoyed a wonderful stay in this apartment. You have everything you will need and so much more. We even found beach umbrellas to save us having to purchase them just for our holiday! A car is very beneficial but local taxis are available as well with just a 5 min wait. Parking facilities are secure and under ground so your car is cool. The main level balcony is a haven for breakfast, lunch and dinner having sun all day. The upstairs roof terrace an amazing sun trap. The pool staffed so safe for children and adults alike and very clean. We took trips to Vilamoura, Quarteira and Lagos (1 Hrs drive) and a boat trip to Benagil Caves (2.5 hrs) with Algarve Xcite which we highly recommend too. We highly recommend this accommodation and we will definitely visit again if we revisit Portugal in future.

Superb
We've been to this complex 3 times now and enjoy it as much every time. The complex is spotless, gardens are impeccably kept and apartments are very well maintained. This apartment is very well furnished, modern and incredibly clean & comfortable for a wonderfully relaxing break. The location is superb, Vila Sol is such a lovely area, with a couple of lovely restaurants on the complex. The new Wildfire restaurant is really lovely and The Moon is also very, very nice. The water park is literally around the corner and the supermarkets are within 5 mins drive. You do need a car staying here, we booked through Avis for a very reasonable price. We wouldn't hesitate to book D4 again, it has all the facilities you need including Books, games, cards, TV and most importantly WIFI!!! The only suggestions we would make would be a docking station for music and we did find the mattress quite hard on the main bed. But neither of these things affected our holiday at all! Fabulous all round! Thank you

Superb apartment set in excellent surroundings
First time at Palmyra and very impressed with the quality of the development and the surrounding gardens and pool area. Stayed at D4 Palmyra which is a stunning apartment which offered an ideal base for the family of 4. Very spacious and well appointed with easy access from Faro airport and a short drive (5 mins) to Vilamoura Marina. The golf at VIla Sol was also excellent and only 2/3 mins away. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Nicola and Adams apartment and would recommend this for any couples or family looking for an ideal retreat withij easy reach of all local activitries and facilities. Nicola in particular was very helpful and made the whole booking process very easy....thanks and hope to return in the future.

Modern, spacious and well equipped
We'd definitely return to this apartment and it's not often we say that. Lots of space and it's very light and airy. Decor and furnishings are modern yet homely and well maintained. Plenty of hanging and storage space for your clothes and a large selection of books and dvds for those evenings when you just want to slob in your comfies. The kitchen was well equipped too and the cutlery and crockery were nice and clean which so often isn't the case when self catering. If I had to pick fault with anything it would be the bed in the master bedroom, it was a little on the hard side for us but I suppose everyone has different preferences. Pretty gutted we never got to use the rooftop terrace as it's a fantastic space but the pool area was great and we never struggled to find a lounger which we were pleasantly surprised by, considering it was the height of summer. A car is definitely required but we knew that up front so it wasn't an issue and the underground parking space means you can get in to a nice cool vehicle without perspiring profusely. A few minutes drive down the road there are a couple of nice restaurants, Wildfire in particular gets a huge thumbs up from us, but if you want something a little cheaper and more relaxed then Oscar's Bar do a selection of nice meals too. Would have no hesitation in recommending this apartment or indeed complex to others, it provided us with a lovely base for our summer holiday.
