Beautifully decorated and great location. Many restaurants and great bars in the area. It's a walk to the area with more of the distilleries, but I preferred this area.

Loved our stay at Hotel Genevieve — cool boutique hotel with an artsy vibe, comfortable accommodations, an excellent rooftop bar with great cocktails and a view of the city, and super friendly and helpful staff in all areas of the hotel. My one complaint was that the lighting in the rooms was so dark— dim lamps (including in the bathroom!) So it made it difficult after the sun went down if you were spending any time in your hotel room. But, the hotel is in a great location, near many bars, restaurants, shops, and other attractions, and it is a short short, Uber ride away from other vibrant neighborhoods, so the location is excellent. I would recommend.

Was an incredible impromptu stay. My wife is in the middle of treatment and when she feels good a weekend getaway is needed. The hotel surprised us at every turn and nothing was asked for. From check-in to the roof top lounge to a late night dessert with champagne surprise the staff made us feel so special. You went above and beyond to make a few hours feel like nothing is wrong. Thank you again.

A beautifully retro-styled hotel
While I appreciate the style and beauty of the hotel and commend them on the decor, there are no included extras. The mini-fridge is filled with their merchandise for sale. The restaurant is closed for remodeling and while they do have a mini-market, there is no breakfast or coffee offered (not even the option to make it in your room). Also, the valet parking is $$$$ and not included with your hotel stay. Convenient location to walk around town.

As a former resident of Austin, I'm familiar with the quality the Bunkhouse group provides at their properties, Hotel Genevieve never disappoints on service, cleanliness, accommodations, or amenities. I never stay anywhere else when I come to Louisville since they opened. Great for solo traveling also, as there is ample to do within walking distance.

We've been wanting to stay here and be in the middle of NuLu to take advantage of the dining and shopping in the area. Our stay did not disappoint. The room was well appointed, clean while feeling like a boutique. Rooftop lounge and terrace were great additions for pre and post dinner.

I had a 2-night stay in September 2024. The hotel restaurant was closed for good and so, no breakfast served. The ice bucket in my room had a limp plastic bag floating in water inside - clearly left without cleaning from previous occupant. The worst thing is that they made an unauthorized charge of $53 to my AMEX card after I had checked out and left. They didn't let me know about this charge and I only noticed it when I happened to be checking my AMEX statement for another purchase. When I contacted the hotel via Expedia, they said it was for valet parking - well, I took an Uber from the airport to the hotel at 11 PM on my arrival and I didn't have a car when I was in Louisville. When I showed them my Uber receipt, Hotel Genevieve admitted that it was a mistake and agreed to refund me within 3-4 days. Two weeks down the line, there was still no refund. So, I emailed the Hotel Genevieve to remind. This time, they didn't even bother to reply. In the end, I had to contact AMEX to dispute the charge. I don't know whether this is sheer incompetence or taking liberty. Either way, this has been a poor experience and wasted a lot of my time to sort out. Would I stay there again?.............you guessed it!
