Down on the Farm
We had the best time staying at Tiffany and Kevin’s horse ranch. The setting was perfect. The property is situated in a beautiful country setting . Chicken, horses and cats. As animal lovers, it was perfect for us. The unit isn’t fancy but it’s clean and has everything included that you could need. We would highly recommend . The owners were lovely people and helpful with local recommendations!

Fresh Eggs and Horces
This is our second time staying on the property. It’s an easy walk to downtown Los Olivos. And an easier walk to the Los Olivos Gourmet Grocery Store. Winery’s can be found throughout the area. We loved hearing the horses ninny and the chickens cluck. The accommodations are above the horse barn which is very cool. Beds were comfortable and bathrooms had all you needed. We really appreciated all the kitchen towels, fresh eggs, and goodies provided.

Foals!
My 3 Cs - clean, comfortable and convenient. We particularly enjoyed the comfy king sized bed. Good air con. considering it was a heat wave. All our needs were met. Lots of foals. Read the directions to get in!

Los Olivos Wine trip
7/10 Rating The property managers said they would like suggestions since they are new to VRBO. There are a few things that could make this a top notch property: The dishwasher needs to be fixed and visitors should know in advance if it is broken. This property could benefit from a Keurig type coffee maker. Also, more than 7 wine glasses since you are in wine country. There were ants in both bathrooms. Also, this place could use a night light in the hall similar to the motion lights on the outside stairs, of which one needs to be fixed. Some hooks on the back of the bathroom door to hang a robe or clothes would be nice. Small sizes of toiletries would be nice, along with a box of Kleenex in each bathroom. Higher end linens would upgrade the bedrooms, including drapes and fixing the broken blinds in the second bedroom.

Life on the farm
We had a lovely two week stay here. The owners were very responsive and helpful. The fresh eggs were a great bonus and it was a relatively easy walk into town where great food can be had and there are many Tasting Rooms to visit. We were not all that impressed with the nearby grocery store and generally bought fresh produce and great fish/meat was New Frontiers Natural Market Place at Solvang. Bobs at Ballard was good for breakfast and Lefties Coffee in San Marcos St Los Olivos was our go to for coffee. As Australians we Like Espresso coffee NOT brew/filtered or Keurig so we nearly bought a Nespresso machine to leave behind for future guests. Lefties saved that need. As for Tasting rooms Future Perfect has great sparkling wine, Riesling as well as reds. Stolpman has a super range of French inspired Reds such as Syrah, Nebbiolo and Gamay and for all round excellence Holus Bolus is hard to go past. Thankyou to Tiffany, Dan and Kevin for hosting.

A TASTE OF RANCH LIFE
We had a wonderful experience wine tasting in Los Olivos, with an equally wonderful experience of getting a taste of ranch life. Peacefully nestled atop a barn housing a beautiful mare and her young colt, we were surrounded by horses, chickens, and four very handsome and friendly male Tabbies that policed the grounds. Still nights were filled with stars that we watched from our cozy porch. Nights were silent and restful, even when the rooster crowed before sun up. A great little grocery market is conveniently less than a block away. We will cherish our experience in this simple rustic setting.

HORSES??? YOU LIKE HORSES??? STAY HERE
Cute 2 bedroom, 2 bath home well furnished and perfect for what we needed. The BIG surprise is the horses and fresh eggs! We spent much of our time while at the home either walking amongst the horses and their babies, or sitting on the porch watching either horses or the AMAZING stars that come out on a clear night. Staff/owners at the ranch were not only patient with us but also really spent time talking to us about the horses. They also showed us how to get fresh eggs in the morning from the hen house! Did I mention it was a super short walk to Los Olivos Grocery?

Lovely stay on working farm
We had a fantastic stay. The apartment was clean and we had everything we needed. Everything was as described in the listing. This is absolutely a REAL FARM and we LOVED it! The apartment is over the stable. Roosters crow in the morning. We saw horses and their babies, sheep, chickens, and farm cats. The property is in a neighborhood of Los Olivos, and within walking distance to their downtown. There is also a convenient market right down the road (~5 minute walk). We used this as a home base for exploring the region while our daughter was at camp at the prep school next door. It's centrally located to lots of small towns, hiking, beaches, and cute shops. Bonus: we were there in mid-June and the fruit and veg at the roadside stands was amazing.

Special place to stay on a working horse farm
We were delighted to pull into a beautiful working horse farm at the edge of town. It's quiet at night, and dark enough to get a beautiful view of the stars. Super friendly cats! The unit is clean, has everything we needed to cook up a breakfast, and offerred a nice place to rest in between wine tastings. We were lucky enough to see a SpaceX rocket launch from Vandenburg AFB. The hosts are very nice and accommodating. A grocery store/deli is literally a 2 block walk away. We all agreed we would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Great stay!
We really enjoyed our stay at the ranch. The two bedroom/two bath apartment, located above a barn, was spacious and had plenty of room for two couples. The beds were comfortable and the place was well equipped. The views were wonderful, with horses as far as you could see along with other ranch animals. We even used the BBQ one evening which worked great. The Los Olivos market is walking distance and was quite convenient. There were many wineries close by, and the town of Los Olivos was just around the corner. Our favorite part, were the friendly horses, including a 7 month old colt right outside the barn. We will definitely be back!

Unique and amazing place! Horses, cats, chickens, etc. too!
The check in was easy, we loved the beautiful house over a working barn, the ambiance of a true working horse ranch was amazing. Everything inside worked perfectly, and outside was charming, fun and unique. If you like to see incredible and rare horses, this VRBO has to be the best in the world! The ranch is large, and you have it all to yourselves (except for the people taking care of the animals.) Bonus is how close it is to Los Olivos, Solvang, and the Chumash casino. We went to all three.

Welcome to The Farm
Arriving alone (at the last minute hubby had to stay home with a sick pet) late in the afternoon in the middle of a rare (for the area) rainstorm, it was a wonderful surprise to find the fresh eggs and cheese in the refrigerator so I didn't have to venture back out again that rainy evening. The 2-bedroom apartment above a barn is clean and well appointed. It was very quiet at night - except for a few horses whinnying early in the evening and the occasional croaking frog. After about 9am it is completely quiet and dark. On a clear night probably great for star-gazing. The directions the homeowner provided were perfect, but I still suggest arriving before dark the first night so you can more easily find your way. In the morning, from the window in the dining room I was able to see the farm waking up (there are lots of horses and the place is surrounded by corrals) - feeding horses, mucking corrals, chickens and cats wandering. I grew up with horses so I enjoyed my stay on The Farm, but if you aren't keen on farm life, horses, or dirt you might find somewhere else more to your liking. If you are, I think you will find this a nice getaway with the feeling of living on a farm.

Ranch retreat in great location
My friends and I all agreed that our stay was very enjoyable. Between visiting the horses and chickens at the ranch, walking into Los Olivos and the proximity to all the winery's, we had a great time and will be coming back. Everyone was very friendly and helpful at the property.
