The service was great, the staff was friendly and helpful. Elite club is a good value, our room had a wonderful ocean view, the Elite lounge and restaurant provide a much quieter atmosphere. Some of the food was less than 5 star rating, overall I felt the property and service provided make the Riu Baja a fantastic choice!

Overall was good place but our friend broke her ankle coming down the stairs where the windows are open. The stairs were covered with a thin layer of dust. Maybe make more frequent rounds

I like the rooms and how clean everything was, the food was very blend pastries were very dry, same menu every day but the waiters and bartenders do amazing at trying to please you , however I walked in to the spa to ask re: massages for 3 of us and the receptionist at the front desk didn’t even bother to look at us and said you need 24hr notice and we don’t have room for today and sat I front of her computer without even a glance at us. I was in shocked , she wasn’t busy because we were the only ones in the waiting room and she wasn’t massaging because she the receptionist, RUDE !!!! so we went to the beach and got massages instead of wasting my money in the SPA with rude employee. In the lobby you can only use their TAXI service NOT UBER and if you use Uber they make you walk out the resort to get picked up. Clearly they have all that under control. So this is a one time stay at this hotel for me and my family wouldn’t come back and for. The price I wouldn’t recommend it either. That’s just my honest opinion: someone will appreciate the honesty

We loved Riu Baja and would stay here again! We experienced the best housekeeping services we've ever had. There was staff all over the resort continually cleaning the property. The food service staff was always friendly, happy, and on top of everything; we never had to wait. They had plenty of restaurant options and bar options and the property was so nice and relaxing that we didn't need to leave if we didn't want to (they had night time entertainment as well at Riu Santa Fe next door). We actually didn't enjoy going to the downtown area as much due to the constant badgering from sales people and restaurant owners, so staying at the Riu was fine with us. My only complaint would be that the company representatives in the hotel that you can book excursions with aren't as honest or helpful as they say they are. We were overcharged and they made mistakes. Aside from that the Riu Palace Baja California was terrific!

Not a bad place. You can visit the Riu next door for parties. The buffet is better than most all inclusives. The beverages are water down and there isn’t a great selection of beer.

This resort was party party party all the time. Pools were full of yelling, drunken people all day long. They should Rename RIU Party Palace.
