The good - Staff was very friendly and helpful, good location: nearby restaurants and close to the freeways, plenty of parking, large rooms, kitchenettes, pool, affordable.
The Bad - Room was unclean and smelled VERY bad, there was a roach on the floor when I walked into the room, had to step on it (and NOT tell my GF). Our room had a kitchenette, and the entire room STUNK of cooked food. There was grease all over the backsplash on the stove which was probably responsible for the stench, it was SO strong and overwhelming. We used aerosol spray AND scented candles, but that just made the place smell like a public bathroom, and the smell never went away. The floor was filthy and made the bottoms of our socks/feet BLACK. There were 2 rooms, but only A/C in the main room, there was a fan in the bedroom to draw in the cool air, which worked eventually, but it took a long time to cool down the bedroom. The bed was uncomfortable and I'd be lying if I didn't say we were concerned about bedbugs. The parking lot was littered with trash, there were fast food bags and Starbucks cups everywhere. I know that's the CUSTOMER'S fault, but the staff should still clean up the parking lot. I've stayed at plenty of Motel 6 locations before, so I knew what to expect, but I was surprised at how gross it was, especially because it was highly rated on hotels.com. I wanted to save a few bucks on a cheap room and it got the job done, but I would not stay here again.
