The studio itself was fine--serviceable with all necessities on hand. The sofa was a bit worn, and the rugs looked like they'd never been cleaned. There was no staff to speak of, except for security. The area feels like you're living in Skid Row--as it turns out you're not far from it--lots of urine stained sidewalks and homeless.

Perfection!
This place was amazing! It was our mine and my partners first time in LA so we searched all over the place for the perfect spot, it was indeed found! We stayed for 7 nights, from the start to the finish it was a perfect stay! Staff were always very accommodating and helpful for anything we needed. Room was exceptional and very comfortable bed, I note LA can be a noisy city at times but we had no complaints whatsoever. We were nervous at first about the general reviews surrounding downtown and the hotels location but we had no trouble at all, as with any location just best to be aware of who is around you. As LA is generally a VERY large city, it was a great spot to head in any direction to see all the sights and experiences we could. Overall 10/10 stay and would choose again!

Hard to find as it is not a hotel. Independent paid parking lots around the block, have to find your own, no parking on property. Have to unload bags on the street in front of the building. Used bleach to clean, smell was very strong. Used in fridge and was wet with bleach, it got all over everything we put in the fridge and onto my clothes, ruined 2 outfits. Also very noisy outside building at night, sirens, people parting, singing, very load as this is right on the busy street.

It was a bit hard to find as you’re expecting a hotel, it’s an apartment building with daily paid parking lots, independent, in the area. You can drop bags in front and go check in but you must find your own parking. Cleaners use bleach to clean and the smell was very strong. The fridge was sprayed down and when you set something in the fridge, it bleached out whatever it touched. I ruined 2 shirts before I realized that what was doing it. Place was nice and clean, great staff but really noisy day and night. Sirens and people up all night outside the building.

We had a great stay at Sonder. The room was spacious and clean, the staff were friendly and helpful, and the property and facilities were in good condition. It was pretty noisy on the street at all hours, but they provide earplugs and a white noise machine. The area is a bit rough, but it's downtown LA so it's to be expected. They have security there at all times, as well as a code to enter the front door, the elevator and of course our unit. Overall, I would rate my stay here as 5 stars and would definitely come back again. I also look forward to staying at other Sonder properties in the future, we were very impressed with our stay.

Five of us had to stay at 2 bedrooms & 2 bathrooms unit at Sonder for 3 night. It was very clean, specious, comfortable & great location to get to all around LA. We definitely will stay there again!

Water pressure in shower is terrible. Walls are paper thin so you hear everything from everywhere. Room quality is above average and considering the price its a a good deal. Kitchen has pots/pans/utensils for cooking etc. shower has bodywash, shampoo, conditioner. Toilet is weird, like one you’d see in a camper but it power flushes your dookie like its its mad at it so 10/10 there. In a dirty and bleh spot of town, but lots of good food nearby and Target, Whole Foods are close. keypad locks on entrance doors, elevator doors, and your room, which was nice. Overall a pretty good stay.

The hotel, the staff, the room were all amazing. The only major problem is the parking. The parking is around the corner, not far at all, but the first night there was evidence of car break-ins and then the second night/morning, we woke up and the car next to ours had been broken into. The parking is not really the fault of the hotel but the guests get preferential access but it’s still open and available to the public. That’s the only issue. Other than that, we loved this hotel. Next time, I just wouldn’t want to have to deal with a car.
