Budget Hotel

Pros: Late check in available

Location: -
The man at the front desk did come off rather rude but I don't think this was intended. There are 2 floors to this hotel but no lift so not ideal to carry heavy suitcases upstairs. Generally, the room was small with very dated decor. As I assume is expected for all budget hotels, there was no kettle, mini refrigerator or microwave in the room. The AC machine was very loud and rattly. There was no cupboard to hang clothes but a rail hanging below the ceiling however they did not provide any hangers, so I assume they expect you to bring your own! The most off-putting and disgusting points are with regards to the dirtiness of the bathroom. The toilet bowl had not been cleaned and had stains. This remained the condition of the toilet throughout our stay and was not cleaned so we were unable to use it. There were what seemed to be cigarette burns on the quilt provided and the pillows were very hard and cheap. Room cleaning was intermittent and our room was not cleaned on two occasions without any explanation. Breakfast is barely existent, with 2 types of cereal but usually no milk, coffee, juice and one type of danish pastry. To make matters worse, breakfast ended at 08:30am! Overall, we had a very unpleasant stay and were happy to leave! Aside from the dirtiness of the bathroom, I think the hotel is an acceptable standard for a 2 star hotel but would recommend booking without breakfast.
