Terrible!

I asked for an upstairs room & we were given one that faced PCH, a super noisy HWY! The room was literally falling apart….bathtub faucet hanging by a hair, caulking around the tub looked like it was done by a 2 year old, drape pull fell off when trying to close them. Beds super uncomfortable & room not clean to my specifications (hair found in the tub area). How it got 8.5 stars is not understandable!

Our check in was delayed over an hour because the room wasn’t ready. Our room smelled like cigarettes and chlorine, the floor was sticky, and the toilet seat was very obviously not cleaned. We stayed 2 nights and didn’t get fresh towels for the second day, despite the pamphlet saying fresh towels daily.

Room location

The room was nice. The location of the room was not so good. It was on the bottom floor and the stairs to the upper level were next to room. The noise from guests going up and down the stairs all night made it hard to sleep. Nice place we just got a bad room location.

We won’t be returning again

There was a lot of noise outside the room. Running the AC unit helped mask the noises. The breakfast was not acceptable. They were out of the juice, sausage, and eggs. They did refill the eggs, but not enough. We brought it to the attention of the front desk. They assured us that they would take care of it. We finally got tired of waiting and went elsewhere. Everything was so sparse. Most guests starting at the hotel are getting on a cruise. The hotel offers shuttle to the cruise, so they are aware of the flow. There were A LOT of people who didn’t get much other than a waffle. The single waffle iron had a line. We will not be staying here next year.
