Location of the property is very convenient - for those who want to explore Hollywood Boulevard and Walk of Fame. Otherwise, too many homeless people in that area of Sunset Boulevard. We had a breakfast at cafeteria, and it was very good, as well as service there. For the Service however I put "3" because we reported issues with a sink and with shower in our room to the Reception desk on Saturday Nov 16th, but it was never fixed, and no-one returned back to us with any update.

Though the renovation of this hotel was cosmetically done well the functionally was not. If you’re a light sleeper this hotel is not for you. Sound proofing between rooms is non existent. During our 5 night stay, our room was cleaned once. We asked for a duvet for the twin sleeper in our room every night but never received one. Very limited staff in the evenings, so prepare to receive nothing or wait a while for it. Hallways smelt similar to a barn, carpets are filthy. Area around the hotel is a little scary at night. Would not recommend visiting the 711 at night time. Cody the bartender was the only good, consistent thing about our stay. Would definitely not stay here again.

The property was beautiful. Staff was nice. I would have given excellent rating but 2 inquiries to staff were never answered. We had issues with out TV and they put empty bottles of shower gel and shampoo in bathroom. We asked staff about both and no one ever corrected or followed back up to fix or replace. Great location though. Will definitely book again.

The staff was really nice 10/10. Our main problem was the room was not as clean as we would hope. The bathroom vent was full of dust and the floor looks like it wasn't scrubbed thoroughly. Although the room isnt as bad. It wasn't cleaned to the standard of a 4 star hotel. We previously stayed at Pali hotel in san diego and used it as comparison for this review.
