I booked 2 king suites and specifically asked for adjoining rooms or at least next to each other - I even completed the pre-check-in forms to make the check in process faster. When I got to the hotel, there was nobody at the front desk - the employee's child had to alert her that I was there. The employee basically asked me for much of the same information that I had already provided, had no clue that there were 2 rooms booked for me and when she finally got all that figured out, she completely ignored my original request for the adjoining or side by side rooms (which were booked more than a week ago). It took close to 20 minutes to get it worked out, which defeated the purpose of filling out the info ahead of time. She ended up setting us up in 2 double queen rooms next to each other and when I asked about the price difference (from king suite), she said that she would try to get it fixed (I still don't have any idea what I was finally charged). The rooms were across the hall from the elevator, they were dirty and smelled bad, the people in the next room had noisy dogs, there were people in the hall being loud and annoying at 2 a.m. The safety catch on the door in one of the rooms had been ripped off of the door like someone had broken in, and the 'repair' job was hideous. I don't think I've ever stayed in worse hotel in my life.

Unpleasant smell
Room had a strange smell, even though it appeared clean. Finally discovered a fan device with air freshener. The smell was not pleasant. Unplugged it and smell improved a little. Bed was fairly comfortable but pillows were not. Overall not bad for the price except for that smell.

Disappointed with front desk and security
I was leaving at4:15 and there was no one at the reception desk after calling out to see if anyone was there, no one showed. I had to end up leaving my key on the counter with a note written on a napkin stating who I was. I wanted a receipt, but didn't get one because of this. Also, the inner front door was open. An exit door was not locked and didn't need a card to enter the hotel. This was a security issue.
