The room was great for a week-long stay. There was a real refrigerator, a nice microwave, and a dishwasher. Guests have no control over the thermostat and it was usually unbearably hot. The bed was comfortable but the only blanket for sleeping was a heavy duvet so coupled with the heat, it was hard to sleep. The desk did provide a flat sheet for us but seemed baffled why we were uncomfortable win a room that was hotter than 72 degrees. There is no bathroom fan and you can’t open the windows so after a week the room felt stale even after it was cleaned. There are also a series of automatic lights that can be helpful in the dark but our came on and off throughout the night. There was also a flashing light from the loo that we couldn’t figure out. We’d consider staying here again.

On this trip, I traveled solo and stayed at The Other House for a week. The customer service at the front counter was excellent. Although the app didn’t work for my hotel room door, I was very quickly given key cards and everything else was lovely. The rooms are nicely decorated and clean. I took advantage of the kitchenette in my room my stay and found the neighborhood safe with restaurants, coffee, and a grocery store just 1-2 blocks away. The Piccadilly line is three minutes from the hotel—easy to get to other neighborhoods or to get a direct ride to Heathrow from this stop. I would stay again.

Very nice hotel in an upscale neighborhood. Close to the Tube. It felt very safe. A little far from the Tower area, but about 15 min. Tube ride to most other attractions.

The property was exceptional especially the decor and interiors, however it was a bit dark in the room with not enough lights. The following were small irritants - TV sound was poor, no phone in the room to call reception, no tissues in the room, no instructions on how to operate the microwave/oven. However, we would definitely would stay again as the kitchenette was very good. We tried to extend the stay another week however it was full.

It’s a lovely property with a fun quirky decor. Everything needed for a comfortable stay was provided. One drawback was the room was just too warm for me. The windows did not open and air conditioning was limited. It was difficult to get a full nights sleep when overheating.

Sanctuary in the City
I chose The Other House because of the amenities and location. The pool, sauna, and lounge areas provided a wonderful sanctuary to relax. The room was elegant, I appreciated the space and kitchen conveniences. The location was great, with a good choice of cafes and restaurants, safe and clean neighborhood to walk around, and several tube lines from the very close Gloucester Rd stop. Two inconveniences worth mentioning: 1) the app gave me a bit of trouble to open doors, and I had to get a physical key card; 2) there's a primary school near to the hotel, so I was awakened around 8am by the sound of children playing. But overall, a wonderful stay and I'd definitely choose to stay here again.
