Location was excellent and from there we could easily go to all places we wanted very easily walking or taking the public transportation. Many places to eat around.
The hotel itself is nice looking from outside, but the our room looked like an "afterthought". The "airplane" bathroom was terrible, the carpet looked dirty and stained, and there was almost no furniture in the room (we felt like in a monk's cell in that regard). It is possible we got the worst room in the hotel as we had to book in the same day due to a flight cancellation, but I would not stay in that hotel room again unless absolutely necessary. The hotel staff was nice.

Disliked: Cleanliness, room comfort
Average to poor
The location was great but the room was incredibly tiny and the bed and sheets smelled like mould
The hotel is located in a very convenient area, Paddington station is basically just around the corner.
The room wasn't bad, everything seemed clean to me and there was no aircon. It wasn't a problem for October weather though. Bathroom was small but I think that's most of the places in England.
Be ready to climb some stairs to get to your room.
Overall was a good stay!

Central location, otherwise abysmal offering
Older hotel with some renovations in rooms. Great location but that’s all it offers. Definitely no frills, very small rooms, uncomfortable beds, no amenities (even have to pay for a pod to brew a nespresso), no AC. Younger lady at front desk was VERY rude and inattentive. Do not recommend staying here if you have any issue with stairs.
The location is perfect for Paddington Station and the room is tiny but cozy and clean.
What they don't warn you about is that the Underground literally runs under your floor and when a train passes, the room vibrates.
It's not enough to keep you awake if you're a sound sleeper but if you aren't, make sure you're not on the ground floor.
Also, the coffee/tea situation is woeful but fortunately there are lots of cafes nearby.

Great area right next topadding station teh whole st is hotels there is better hotels on that st
The room was in what they call, the basement. Every 3 minutes you would hear what sounded just like planes taking off.
I think I had 3 hours sleep total.
Room was very clean
Really disappointed. Booked last minute. Has the most awful room on the 3rd floor. Was offered another room which smelled musty. Then offered a basement room, which was far nicer, but had tube noise. Will not be returning!
Perfectly adequate space for a hotel in London. Bed was comfortable, bathroom was small but sufficient. Great location and the price was reasonable for London. Overall, would consider staying there again.
Not a fan of the old keys and the policy of leaving keys at reception. One of the days I was there, they must've been painting somewhere in the hotel, the whole place smelled like very strong chemicals. I was hoping to rest in my room but the smell was making me sick so had to leave. It was better by the evening but had to sleep with my window open all night (it was very chilly). Not a huge deal but might be for other guests. At minimum, they should be communicating those things to guests ahead of time.
