The hotel was in the perfect location next to our daughter's flat for grad school. Even though the train is right behind the hotel, it is very quiet inside and we never heard it, nor did we hear any street noise from the front. The air went off in the middle of the night so we woke up hot and had to reset it, but the hotel is trying to be green and they explained that it happens sometimes. Otherwise we had a very pleasant stay and will stay there again when we come to visit our daughter.

Hotel was lovely. Nice staff, comfortable room, very clean. Area outside felt sketchy at night, with lots of people sleeping rough, open drug use and drunks. It looked better in daytime. Convenient for Finsbury Park station

check-in was a bit random with you having to use the machines but there was staff to assist so seems pointless! the room was large and well-designed, overall the hotel was in a great location and good value for London. I fancied a cocktail and was made to scan a QR to view it, it then took at least 10 mins to make as the young guy was served 3 other people in between making my drink, the manager could see he was stressed and needed an ingredient and just watched over instead of being helpful and taking over serving or fetching the ingredient. after a very long day, this was very frustrating.

We booked a Deluxe Double Room, marketed as 23 sqm. It was definitely not 23 sqm. Having stayed in many many hotels, I would say the room we were given was perhaps about 18 sqm. It was difficult to open two suitcases without re-arranging the furniture in the room. Despite from the discrepancy in room size, we enjoyed our stay at Maldron Finsbury. The bed and pillows are very comfortable. Toilet is clean and bright. Cookies every day were a nice bonus. Finsbury Park had two underground lines and a London Rail station which made it extremely convenient to travel around London. The neighbourhood itself is dirty and a little bit sketchy; just watch your bags and stuff to and from the station.

We found this Maldron facility to be very convenient for our London trip. The hotel is about a 2 minute walk from the Finsbury Park Tube station and that made our life so much easier. This Tube station is within Zone 2 and you can travel by metro or train or bus with a maximum fare of BP 8.50 for the day, no matter what type of mix/match transportation you take. With a very convenient public transportation system in London, this makes visiting various landmarks and tourist attractions a breeze. There are very convenient places to eat just minutes from the hotel.

The check in process itself was very slow because the system wasn't working so we had to wait for a long time after an overnight flight with a kid and they don't even ask for a glass of water to the little kid. The room then was a big disappointment.The space in the room has not been utilized well and does not have basic facilities like even a space to keep your clothes.No dental kits or body lotions. There are three lifts and minimum one is always not functioning.They serve the same breakfast everyday and if you reach after an hour of the breakfast start time then everything will be gone and dsnt get refilled. No bowls, no cups, no glasses in the second half of the breakfast time.The housekeeping service was also not the best on the first day but the second day was amazing and was done by Yveline.The third day I mistakenly left the do not disturb sign outside the room and left the hotel for the day however I realized and called up from outside at the reception to inform about doing the room but when we came back in the evening it wasn't done.I called up at the reception to atleast refill my water bottles and provide with bath towels but even that wasn't provided until we called them again in 40 mins.They don't have a fridge or microwave in the room and with a toddler it's needed. On one day when we requested them to only warm up the food for the kid that we got, they refused it.Location is great however and very close to all modes of transport and the female chef was great.
