I was checked into the wrong room and told at reception there are problems with the system. The room was already occupied by others. A basement room is apparently what was allocated for the booking and it was next to the service area where staff were quite noisy. A lot of noise in the middle of the night and as the corridors are not carpeted it was disturbing. Good laoction however for us near theatres and the station.

This place is very convenient for getting around, and the breakfast is good, although the limited variety can become a bit monotonous. However, aside from that, the hotel is ideally located near both the bus and train stations.

This hotel is well positioned to walk to some main attractions (or all popular ones depending on your fitness level). Easily walk to Westminister Abbey and buckingham palace. It is adjacent to Victoria station to take you to other parts of the city quickly and cheap. The tube has contactless payment so you need to only use your credit card. The hotel itself affords very clean rooms, newer accommodations and a full breakfast daily. For some reason the euro plug was not working and we did not bring a UK converter. The gym is on the small side for a hotel that size but got the job done.

I had booked a twin superior room but was told none were available on check in. We were then given a basement room, which didn’t have a window in and access by elevator only. The room wasn’t ready when we entered, which I communicated to staff and they rectified the issue (bed wasn’t fully made and towels hadn’t been changed) The room basement position resulted in waiting around often for elevators that were also used by hotel service staff. Overall, this is a lovely hotel, but it needs better management for room preparation and availability, and better assurance that rooms are ready for handover to customers.
