Small but reasonable
Overall I had a good stay. Was only one night so the small room never became an issue. If I were to stay longer I'd have preferred somewhere a little larger. I actually laughed out loud when I first opened the door and saw the bed squashed down the end of the room. Clean room, friendly staff and good location. Walking distance to Euston and British Museum (10 mins to both)

Very cosy hotel. Great location. The only drawback for me was absence of an elevator in the hotel as I had two big suitcases. For business this hotel is ideal in my opinion as a bus stop and a tube station as well as cosy small restaurants are quite close to the hotel.

Misleading description of hotel
False description and images of bedrooms, in need of refurbishment, very noisy, not enough space in dining room for all guests, peculiar smell in entrance lobby, tiny bath towels and luke warm showers....not great!

Great Breakfast Service
Excellent hotel and great service but a bit noisy with traffic passing down Gower Street.

Hot room, cold water
The hotel has small rooms, which is fine for the price. However, the rooms were overheated, and the double glazed sash windows would not open (and it would have been very noisy if they had). This being the UK, this may not be a frequent problem, but was on this trip. A more regular annoyance was the absence of hot water; speaking to fellow guests, I think you have to be quick to shower. Lastly, the hotel wifi is pretty slow, although for academics you seem to be able to join eduroam from nearby UCL in most of the rooms.

Great location, small room, bad wi-fi.
Service was good and room was serviceable. Breakfast was terrible and the wi/fi only worked 10% of the time. Mixed feelings for the price.

Expected better
The location was quite good as I was isiting University of London with my daughter. The hotel wasn't anything great. I had the feeling og being in a slightly run down and slightly grubby place. There are better places

Microscopic room
Room microscopic, bed touched wall head and foot! Two of us could not get dressed at same time. No mirror above sink so difficult to wet shave. Shower so small nowhere to put soap, shampoo etc. Cooked breakfast good, but choice for continental very limited. Bedside light bulb not working, not repaired during stay, despite immediate notification.

Good for Covent Garden/Theater land.
When we arrived, there were changing beds. Old ones out, new ones in so the reception was a bit of a mess. Good news about the refurbished beds though. The room (302) was a little small although it did serve a purpose. We were just looking for somewhere to clean up and then lay our heads. There were a few little things in the room that needed sorting, like the TV didn't stay tuned in. Not really a problem for us because we were only there for one night but it would have been nice to watch the news at least. There was also no rubbish bin in the bedroom, only in the shower-room, which was a little annoying. The bed itself was a little on the small size for a double, possible a 3/4, and as I was on the outside it did seen to want to roll me off the bed. The breakfast was good and all the staff were helpful, courteous and polite. The location was good. Only a 15 minute stroll to Covent Garden/ theater land and apart from the few little things I would stay here again. Recommended.

Good location
The location of this hotel is great, a short walk to everything, and that is what you pay for. The room however was very uncomfortable - It was very stuffy and hot, the bed was springy, and if you opened the window for a breath of fresh air then there was a lot of outside noise. All together it was very difficult to sleep at this hotel. The Wi-Fi was also unreliable, though that may have been because we were on the top floor.

All you need - but not more and at a price
On the positive side is to be noted the very friendly staff, also at breakfast and the quality of the breakfast included. The room was small, but ok; just the stains on the carpet and paint coming off the wall, plus the drafty window letting cold air and street noise in - not up to standard and in need of a renovation. For that the price was a bit high!

Good value, needs a little refurbishment to carpets and decor. In spite of this, a clean comfortable welcoming place.

OK for London
Room clean and decently furnished, but minuscule. Very expensive for what it is but presumably this is to be expected in central London.
