Argyle Square Hotel
Was expecting a very basic hotel for price but pleasantly surprised. Excellent location, no frills hotel but perfectly functional. Comfortable and clean rooms, we reported an issue with shower in room above leaking drips into our bathroom which was noted. We had a room at the back of the hotel which was on a quiet road. Would definitely stay here again.

Hotel is so handy just 5 minutes walk from Kings Cross. The room is in basement with en-suite, TV, kettle and coffee/tea provided, apples. Bedding was clean, bed was comtortable, towels provided for. Room is small with not much space for wardrobe but this hotel is very convenient for travelling to Kings Cross or St Pancrass. Very quiet too, considering central location. No lift and no help with suitcases but I was aware of this, so no problem.

Hotel staff at the reception that didn’t know where to get a SIM card. And they didn’t care. The room service decided to check on me for whatever reason at 10:30 pm when I was already asleep. Major construction in front of the hotel. And absolutely horrible internet.

Great location and not too noisy area. Single room was tiny but relavetely clean. Nice to find a bottle of water, a fruit and available tea/coffee bags in the room Bathroom tiny and smelly with a tiny sink which was also half blocked. A lot of noise coming from upstairs and next door. Too expensive for what offered

You get what you get, it's a cheap hotel so the mattresses aren't that great, the pillows are flat and the rooms are small. BUT! The staff is lovely, and it's close to EVERYTHING! Would've loved a comfier bed but this place had what I needed for a good price.

The WiFi did not work the whole time. When I asked about it they said it never works even though their website claims free WiFi and high speed WiFi internet room. Also I was unable to open the bathroom door completely because the room was too small to have BFF e 2 single beds.

Upon making the reservation for the hotel, I initially viewed the image provided and found it appealing. However, upon entering the room, I observed that the establishment resembled a motel, lacking cleanliness and providing an uncomfortable bedding arrangement. Despite these circumstances, I remained at the hotel for a duration of merely two days, as I have not previously encountered such circumstances.

The positive is the location not far from King's Cross station and v quite,no traffic road. That's about it. The room we stayed in was very small as expected and the bathroom even smaller. As you enter the building you get hit by damp smell and it carries on in your room. The bed sheets have seen better days and duvet cover had big stain on it as well as the mattress and pillows. Next day in the morning we had no water in the taps and after seeing the receptionist we were told repair man is on the way and we got water bottles. The bathroom is very small but the sink is so small that when you brushing your teeth you can't actually spit in the sink. At the end it is cheap hotel so don't except anything fancy.

One night London getaway
The front desk staff were friendly. They informed us there was 24hr entry. * Good to be aware of - You have to present your passport or some form of ID even if you live in the UK - no ID = no room! The room was clean , nicely furnished but quite ‘compact and beaujous’ and looked newly decorated. Compact bathroom with a small shower cubicle but good pressure and hot water. Toiletries supplied. There were tea and coffee facilities with a bowl of fruit and 2 bottles of water on the side table. Freeview channels on the TV with the option of signing in to streaming channels. The room was a comfortable temperature. In fact it was very acceptable for one or two nights away, my only negative was that the mattress was uncomfortable - not very supportive and we could feel all the springs.

Don't do it!
I was put into a basement room in the back that was extraordinarily damp and moldy. The walls were paper thin and the people next to me were playing their radio and laughing. Plus, no Wi-Fi in the basement? I checked out an hour later and found another place. I'm hoping they're going to reimburse me. But who knows?
