Wonderful Quiet Rest

Beautiful cabin, well stocked. We loved the view and the quietness. I wish there had been something in the book telling how to adjust heat. I was surprised there was no hair dryer. Otherwise, it was perfect. Can't wait to come back to the area to explore more!

Overall Great looking place and stay!

Overall very beautiful and nice place, pretty up to date. First impression, there was a bathtub outside in the yard, not something expected. Quite a few dents in areas in the walls, dry wall job could be better, lots of drywall screws hanging out, doesn’t look like primer was used before painting the walls, many areas where paint was torn off or wall was damaged. The 2 couches down stairs were broken so we did not hang down there at all. The beds were not very comfy at all, I would bring your own memory foam to put down to add cushion. Patio furniture wasn’t too bad but a few nice pieces would do a lot for the place. Overall very nice!!

A Peaceful Romantic Getaway

The cabin/house is very big and roomy, has all the necessities to relax, rest, cook, wash and dry clothes, and plenty of bathrooms (2.5). However the upper room bed sheets were not cleaned properly, had to re-wash the sheets and pillow cases. Secondly, many of the plates, glasses and cups were not cleaned properly and had food, dirt residue on them. Otherwise a very good place to have a restful getaway. I am willing to stay again in the near future!

Great location, quiet. Must be well water because there was a distinct sulfur odor. It was undrinkable for us, but there was a water system once the property manager brought out a jug of water. It’s not that big a deal because you can bring bottled water. The beds aren’t as bad as some of the reviews say. All-in-all, we would stay here again.

Very clean, updated, roomy log home

The cabin is nicely done! You have the rustic feel of a cabin, but with a beautifully updated interior and lovely outdoor areas in the rear. It was so nice to sit on the rear deck and enjoy a morning cup of tea! The one recommendation that I would make would be to replace the bed in the lower level. I had read other reviews about the squeaking that it makes and they were correct. It made it quite hard to sleep but we loved our stay otherwise.

Nice property but needs a few updates

Cabin is beautiful inside, 2-1/2 bathrooms are very convenient and great sizes! Beds need better mattresses and jacuzzi has seen better days, half of the jets don’t work, no lights, very worn surface but it did the job. Location to the entrance of Hocking Hills is actually 30 minutes away. Restaurants and stores are about 15-20 minutes away. Firepit area is nice, bring your own chairs though. Woods behind property are beautiful and area is very quiet and peaceful!

Great cabin, great location, terrible beds.

The cabin itself was very nice for our use and purpose. We loved that it was in the woods with no visible neighbors. Location was great! Very close to hocking hills and grocery stores. The spiral staircases gave the cabin character, however not ideal for families with small children or those with mobility issues. The outside amenities are still accessible to all by walking around the house. Biggest problem with the cabin was the terrible beds. The frames need tightened or replaced, as they were horribly squeaky. You can’t get into, out of, or roll over without waking the other person and the mattresses were absolutely awful. We only slept in the upstairs bedroom one night because we both woke up with back pain. Downstairs bed wasn’t as bad, but still quite uncomfortable and after hiking several miles rest was near impossible. Other than that, wasn’t a bad stay, but won’t stay there again.
