Seaside Cottage, dog friendly, close to beach & Snowdonia National Park

This lovely 200 year old ex-fisherman's cottage is small but very pretty, a perfect size for a couple, with a very well equipped, light and airy kitchen. A double bedroom, Shower Room, and a Lounge with a feature original Welsh Stone curved wall.

RE: CORONAVIRUS / COVID 19. We have changed our cancellation policy to 'relaxed' - if you have a booking and the government changes it's rules meaning that you can't come by law, you will receive a refund or be able to change your dates without being charged for making the amendment, subject to availability. We have completed a risk assessment and a copy of this will be in the folder in the cottage.
As regards cleaning: please be assured that we have spent the lockdown period discussing how we are going to keep the cottage safe. There will be a thorough cleaning with bleach and disinfectant right through before arrival. Soft furnishings and linens will be removed/changed between guests so that more than 72 hours elapses in between uses, and of course all the bedlinen etc will be boil or bleach washed before it goes back in there too. Even the outside gate, doors, windows fencing and wall will be sprayed during each changeover clean. When you arrive, the key will be in the door waiting for you. We will not approach closer than 2m. I would welcome you to let yourself in, make yourself comfortable, and explore what's in the cupboards and drawers to familiarise yourself. We are literally just over the fence and on the end of text and messaging if you need anything. In the event that we have to come in at your request we welcome you to ask us to wear a mask. Just ask if you need a couple of spare paper ones yourself. Details of local hospitals and GP surgery/Pharmacy are in the brown welcome book that you will see on the coffee table on arrival. However if you have symptoms of COVID-19 or have been close to someone who has tested positive, please do not come. Contact us if this is the case.

With gas central heating throughout and a gas fire in the lounge for an additional boost, this cottage is warm and cosy all year round.

We provide all linen, fridge freezer, microwave, gas oven. There is a TV and DVD player in the lounge, plus of course the all important WiFi.

The cottage is situated alongside our garden and the wall separating the cottage has pots and baskets with seasonal plants and flowers. The outlook is south towards the Snowdonia range of mountains, and we are situated immediately off the A55 which is the main route through North Wales: This gives very easy access to the road network whichever direction you wish to explore.

The village, Llanfairfechan, is a typical Welsh seaside village. We have a Spar and a Co-op, a handful of pubs, some serving food, takeaway, an award winning butcher, a couple of cafes on the seafront. The cottage is literally just a few seconds walk from a lovely sandy beach and the Promenade, where you can wander along past a small lake with nesting swans, onto the salt flats where you may find many unusual birds.

A 15 minute drive, if you want to venture out, will take you to Llandudno, Conwy, Colwyn Bay, Bangor, or the bridge across to the Island of Anglesey. Llanberis with it's lovely lake and Mountain Railway is about half an hour away.

You are welcome to bring your well behaved dog/s with you. If you do so, we ask that you don't leave him alone in the cottage at any time, as they tend to make quite a bit of noise and this upsets our own dogs. It's useful if you bring your own doggy bowls, and a few throws to protect our furniture from those sandy paws that are inevitable here! We don't ask that you keep them off the furniture as we know that's impossible unless that's what they do at home.

Our garden is not accessible from the cottage, it is fenced off for our own dogs to use. Please be aware that they may bark at you as you enter the gate but will quickly lose interest and wander away (they cannot access the cottage path, so don't worry about that) - if you do not like dogs, or they annoy you, it makes sense for you to please choose an alternative property, as this may not be right for you.

There is a concrete path outside the cottage that is secure but your dog must be taken out for toileting. There is a big grassy area just before the sea wall and the beach, less than a minute away. If you look at Llanfairfechan beach on google earth, the small section of beach in between the two jetty’s to the right of the pavilion, is designated Dog free from 1st May to 30th September. However the rest of the beach is dog friendly all year- look at the huge expanse of sand to the left of the pavilion. Our dogs love chasing a ball on there !
Our customers tell us they can't get enough of the helpful staff at this cottage. During your stay, you're just a quick walk from Llanfairfechan Beach. The cottage offers free WiFi and a kitchen.
  • The cottage offers a kitchen, a fireplace, and a living room
  • Free WiFi
  • Just a 4-minute walk from Llanfairfechan Beach and 7 minutes by car from Eryri National Park
This cottage offers its guests a garden. The front desk is open around the clock.

This Llanfairfechan cottage is smoke free.

The cottage was very cosy perfect for the 2 of us and our dog. Close to the seafront and the expressway we had good days out to Anglesey, Bangor and Llandudno. We would love to go again next summer!

Secluded little cottage by the sea.
A nice little cottage for a short stay. Tight on space and decor is a bit tired, but everything you need is there. As a stone cottage by the sea, it did feel a little damp, but it was not too bad. Parking was 50 yds away. Host was very pleasant. Wonderful scenic area with great castles and heritage railways.

Vacation by the Sea
We had a lovely stay with our dog Henry in a beautiful cottage. The location was ideal, as we was only a few hundred yards walk from the sea front, also we we're central for travelling to Anglesey, Caernarfon etc.In llanfairfechen there we're 2 Cafes/restaurants that we tried, the Seagrass where we had a lovely meal and the Pavillion where we had a few ice creams. Would highly recommend a holiday in such a lovely cottage and a beautiful place to come and relax and unwind, we will be returning 👍👍👍

Great location, simple pleasures, love dogs
Firstly, the size was stated as 14 sq m! Dont worry, its not that small!! We had a lovely sunny weekend. Friendly owners always busy making their garden in full bloom, which benefits the outlook from the linear cottage. Comfortable and sympathetically decorated with nice tasteful appropriate touches. A few minutes walk to a stony beach, great for a dog walk along coast path towards Anglesey. Well located for a day out on Anglesey or going inland. Nice peaceful clean wherever you go. We had a lovely stay

Old and new memories
A lovely cottage for us and a great base to explore right by us and further afield. The Pavilion does lovely food and there is another cafe across from it. It opens from Wednesday and stays open a bit later which we didn’t have time to go to but was always busy. The scenery is stunning and a lovely clean area.

Perfect Base especially if u have a dog to walk
Our 3rd time, cozy, well equiped small old cottage, seconds walk from to the sea front, a couple minutes from the nice Seagrass cafe. Ten minute walk up the road next to the river to the Chip shop, Chinese or Curry house which does very good indian food been 3 times. Walk up past the lights a few more minutes to a decent co,op or a bit futher and over the bridge to a old dog friendly pub with beer garden next to the river, nice few pints there lol oh and plenty free parking near the cottage plus the 20mph isn't a issue cos you come off the welsh express way and your just a minute away from the cottage. No cameras or police anyway lol.

Poor description
When attempting to locate the 2 local public houses,we found 2 closed and for sale properties,2 cafes were local ,1 was dog friendly but closed for 2 consecutive days(Monday and Tuesday),the other was NOT dog friendly and closed at 5 pm. The only open public house was a short drive away and we didn't visit owing to insufficient parking access.

Lovely little cottage just off the beach
Week’s holiday with our dog. Cosy little cottage in a lovely little village with plenty of good walks from the door or nearby. Positives included the excellent welcome basket with lots of lovely goodies, kitchen was well supplied and they also provided dog bowls and toys. It was in a good location near the beach. Cafe on the seafront, plus fish & chip shop and Indian nearby. As the hosts state this is only suitable for 2 adults, but it’s comfortable and very clean.
