Most of the property was very clean and most of the staff was very pleasant, with the exception of one or two front desk people. The carpet in the room was very dirty and old but overall the hotel was nice.

Everything is excellent about this hotel - warm and friendly staff, beautiful rooms, beautiful views, etc. Except for one, unacceptable blatant lie about having "Family Friendly Laundry Facilities" that is false advertising pure and simple There are none to speak of. Only dry cleaning/laundry services. This forces one to either pay hotel prices for laundry services per item or spend half a day in the city of seven hills to carry your laundry to a laundromat somewhere. This blatant lie is not limited to this hotel. In 6 European hotels I stayed in during September and October, ALL OF THEM engaged in this false advertising. According to Expedia customer service, there is a checkbox that hotels mark if they have such facilities. I suspect there are hundreds or thousands of such hotels on Expedia that engage in this deception and have asked Expedia to find a way to rectify this - providing stiff penalties for lying about property amenities or whatever they come up with.

We really enjoyed our stay. Our room was lovely, quiet and comfortable; the breakfast was great; and Bea at the front desk was very helpful and sweet. We’d definitely stay again!

The reviews were wonderful, but this hotel seemed so-so to us. The room was small, the mattress not super comfortable, and the wifi was pretty unusable in the room. The best part was the balcony and view.

Up on the hill
Excellent hotel with beautiful views of Lisbon. Bear in mind it very high up on the hill - so cobbled stones and lots of walking - take good walking shoes. Nice staff who were very helpful. Breakfast was good. We ordered takeway online and we were in the best location for all the food places so they came quick. Hotel toiletries were a fragrant brand and can be found in a store in belem. We had a balcony which had beautiful views - sunset and midnight sky. There is a lift / escalator at the end of the road - make sure you use it to go down to the city centre and come back up. The old castle - Castelo de São Jorge is walkable from the hotel - lovely views and stunning peacocks who love on the grounds.

Property itself was very good, however when leaving there was many dog feces on the street & sidewalks just outside the entrance. They should make an effort to clean the sidewalk & street just outside the entrance.

Hidden gem hotel on a quiet street, fantastic view from our hotel room, and yet in a great location. Staff were amazing, thank you reception staff for being so welcoming, informative, arranging tours, shuttle. A beautiful hotel inside and easy walk to all the sights of old Lisbon.

All of the staff members we interacted with at Olissippo Castelo were warm and friendly, and were full of recommendations for dining and local attractions. The rooms were nice and clean, and we absolutely adored the view from our balcony. Loved this hotel, and we would gladly stay here again.

Close to the castle and in the older historic area. Great views from the windows since it is up on the hill. Ask the front desk for the location of hillside outdoor elevators to make it easier to get down the hill for more shopping in the main part of town.

Firstly, we were charged 50% more by Hotels.com than what was on the website, via Trivago in AUD. Terrible start. The breakfast is ok, but not great. Access to the hotel is not easy via Uber. They have one iron for the complete hotel, so in 3 days my wife could only use an iron once. When we organised for the hotel to provide direct transport to the airport, they only accept cash, which was a major inconvenience (as we'd used all our cash). When the time came to be picked up, the transport didnt turn up, we were late to the airport and had to use a taxi. Significant hassle to get the cash for the hotel, but they still couodnt organise it. All when Hotels.com charged us 50% more than agreed.

Although we were not sure from the outside. The inside is lovely. The breakfast staff and cleaning staff were excellent as well as reception. Beautiful views from our spacious balcony and front of hotel and could walk everywhere
