Nice overnight stay in Limon
Nice hotel, newer than the others nearby. Clean and quiet. We had a hard time finding it as our gps took us to a neighborhood nearby. We called to get directions. Oscars is a good place to eat nearby. No walkable restaurants near this hotel but its in a good location.

From the minute the doors opened the staff were amazing! Friendly, helpful and a pleasure to deal with. The entire place inside and out was sparkling clean. PET FRIENDLY + Beds were super comfortable, soft towels, good breakfast and just an overall great stay!

The internet was horrible and the Direct TV DIDNT WORK. Had to us my phone to tether WiFi to an Xbox to watch anything. The chlorine in the pool area was strong it was like being back in military with a gas chamber.

Check in was smooth and uneventful - which is really what we all want (No surprises!) The dining area was large and looked nice. We did not partake of the breakfast though. One downer were the fly strips hanging in the dining area, by the check in counter, and by the elevator. Now, you have to debate if it's better to have the nasty fly strips or the flies... hhmmm. The room was nice and the darker paint on the walls made the room feel cozy and darkened it nicely for our early-to-bed evening after a long day of driving. The room had a nice shower, and the lighted mirror is always a plus. The fan in the bathroom ran all the time, though, as there was no switch for it. Odd. A major downfall for me was the bed. It felt like there was a folded comforter under the fitted sheet to help build up the mattress or something. It was uncomfortable and I slept fitfully. The pillows were also poor and only good for propping yourself up against the headboard with 3 of them. I think it's time to replace them. There was plenty of handy light switches in the room for bedside, corner reading, desk, entry, etc, which makes it nice. Overall, the 4 year old hotel looks good! Aside from a few spots on the carpeting, the hotel looks nice. The mattress and pillows do need replacing, however, so it would be a good thing if LaQuinta was proactive about this downfall.
