In the winter months the wood burner draws you in for a cosy winters evening curled up with a glass of wine and a movie. For the outdoor enthusiasts, the beautiful Yorkshire Dales National Park opens up around you with walks right from the door. Head into Wensleydale and visit the popular market town of Leyburn less than 2 miles away. Here you will find lots of quirky shops, Dales pubs, tea rooms and the popular Friday market. It can be reached via a 2 mile walk across open countryside. Nearby Middleham with its famous Castle and horse training stables, West Witton with its award-winning restaurant and onwards towards beautiful Aysgarth Falls and the bustling market town of Hawes.
