Really enjoyed our stay here. Property was super cute & a few minutes walk from the best swimming beach on the island. Loved the relaxing vibe. There were a few negatives, mainly being the cleanliness. As the photos online were so amazing, I was a little bit disappointed. In saying that, If these little things were fixed I would give it a 5/5 and wouldn’t hesitate to go back. - mould on the bed canopy. As you look up when in bed, I could see big spots of mould. Knowing that the canopy doesn’t get cleaned, I had to keep moving it behind the bed as I didn’t like my kids touching it. - the hammock (brown one) outside our room had a huge spot of mould/stain. - lounge chair outside was filthy. I wouldn’t use it unless I had my sarong covering over it. - no where to hang wet pool towels & they don’t get replaced. I resorted to putting our dining chairs in the walkway with our towels over them so they got some sun. - walls are crumbling and there was a hole right next to the bed where the bedside table is. - area under & behind the bed had very thick dust and needs a deep clean including the bed frame. I still loved the place but these small things that could easily be fixed would make this place amazing.

Lovely, conveniently located property with easy access to one of the best beaches in the island, Mushroom Bay. Breakfast was simple but tasty. Friendly staff on hand to cater to needs. Can’t fault this quiet laid back retreat.

November in Castaway
We had a wonderful quiet stay at Castaway for 10 nights late October - early November 2022, it's just a few mins walk from the ferry, the staff were very friendly and attentive, the free breakfast until 11:00 was a good bonus, the pool and accommodation were a very good standard, easy access to restaurants, shops, scooter hire, supermarkets...i recommend this as a great place to stay on Lembongan

Coming from a five star hotel the previous night we may have been a little distracted by the smaller bed and humble room but the staff and the personal vibe more than made up for that! We loved our stay here and will definitely return.

Place was nice and cosy, staff were very helpful to call and arrange for pick ups. Breakfast was also delicious. Only complaint was that the shower was erratic and didn't have hot water at times.

A great small resort close to the beach and AtTMs and cafes. The staff were lovely and helpful with tour information and our room was cleaned daily. The pool was a good size and clean. My only complaint was the live music playing every night directly across the road until 10.00pm but other than that was a great stay and would stay here again.

The location is very close to Mushroom Beach with restaurants closeby. The staff are wonderful and extremely helpful. Pool is clean. Small complex.. The only suggestion from myself would be some extra lighting around the path at the entrance as it is hard to see at night. This is my second stay here.

Slightly disappointed
The resort is beautiful. Would of rated much higher BUT NO HOT water . We stayed in 8 mid range priced hotel and was surprised that they couldn’t get it to work . It was the most expensive hotel we stayed in so we were disappointed that we had to take 1-2 minute showers ! And secondly , food was incredibly salty , even when we requested light salt . Both situations were addressed but not resolved .

Nice relaxing island stay
We had a great stay at Castaway. The hotel felt like a little oasis to come home to after being out in the islands. It was small and compact and the rooms were nicely arranged around a lovely pool. We spent more time hanging out at the hotel around the pool than we expected. The staff was very helpful in arranging local tours and day trips. The only small issue was that the rooms were not very well soundproofed so there was some noise from the other rooms and from the bar across the street. The hotel is in a great spot and is very walkable to several restaurants, dive shops, and Mushroom Bay beach which is a beautiful spot at sunset.
