A lovely modern hotel business hotel
A really nice property. Modern, clean and with spacious room. All staff members were super friendly and helpful. Shower deserves a special mention. You can put it on before entering it and it’s lovely and powerful. Beds were super comfortable too. Only negative is that the music from the bar can get loud if you are staying on the first floor and there’s a celebration going on.

I truly enjoyed my stay at Voco Leicester and look forward to returning. I am from the U.S. and I this hotel exceeded my expectations. The staff to check in and out were awesome: Kelly, Julia and Smarth (the last name mentioned may have been spelled incorrectly so I apologize). The restaurant: The Lair was great as well. My servers were Emma, Alina and Alex all amazing!! The food was incredible, please order the Tiramisu (you won’t be disappointed). The rooms were slightly compact, but I definitely did not mind. There were no microwaves which was unfortunate since I had takeaway food from nearby restaurants. I was told due to health and safety regulations, they were unable to heat up food from other places. In terms of location, this hotel was central to soooo much and a lovely walk to and from anywhere. Please make sure if you’re in Leicester, don’t forget to book this place. Voco, I will be back.

Great stay to watch the rugby and get the use of plastic glasses whilst the game is on, but surely 2 hours after the game finishes you should be able to get a proper glass, especially when drinking wine or spirits, everything else was great, but this is a massive let down, especially when you pay £200 to stay the night

Firstly, though I checked about parking which said available on main screen. It wasn’t until you click in to small prints to find it had to be pre-booked at a price of £20 per night. Almost every guest who drove in were clueless and the receptionist must have been tired of repeating the same thing, sounded annoyed and kept cutting the intercom. The drainage in the shower was completely blocked. By the time I had realised, upon opening the shower screen. The water completely flooded the bathroom. Felt unhygienic. Couldn’t even have a proper warm shower after walking in the rain to and from the external car park. Despite hold a blue badge, there were no provisions or support. Not user friendly.

Aweful - Parking doesn't exist in pracicality
We chose this hotel because it had "parking available on site". In reality this required you to call the hotel and book ahead of time. (Something that had not been made clear). Once we arrive we found this out and the carpark was fully booked. We later found out from staff that they only have a few spaces and chances of ever geting one was incredibly unlikely. We were given a list of 3 parking options that were "close by". The first was a rugby ground who told us "this is matchday parking, you cant park here - we've asked the hotel to stop sending guests here". He then told us that on the list of 3 the second was actually the hospital which is meant for patiens and expensive. We managed to park in the 3rd option but this was 10 minutes walk away from the hotel, and any stay over 4hours was £25. As such I had yo walk to get the car and drive to pick up my partner every time we went out. This took a lot of time each day and was costing £75 a day. We were in an accessibility room so this was even more challenging for us. Had I known in advance that the advertised parking didn't exist in any way that was actually usable - I would have stayed somewhere else and not had to pay so much in parking. The rest of the hotel was passible but by no means good.
