Older property that has not been well maintained. Room was clean but definitely in need of updating. Wall light fixture was falling off wall. Connected restaurant has boards nailed across front door. Main sign in front of hotel is almost illegible. Not a lot of lodging choices in Leadville but I'd avoid this one.

Replace the parking surface. It is very rough. At least all the deep potholes from last year were filled in. Having air conditioning in the rooms is a great improvement. More variety in the breakfast room will be much appreciated.

Worse stay on our entire trip. No more Rodeway Inn
Check in was extremely slow. Carpets were dirty. Garbage around building. Our door card did not work. The guy at the said he couldn’t fix it. He used his key to let us in. One of us had to stay in the room to let the other in if one left to get someone. Breakfast was terrible. No coffee. No one came to fix the coffee dispensers when asked or restock food items.

Lots of reviewers being negative about this place, and I think they just had unreasonable expectations. It’s a cheap, clean, basic hotel. The property is a little dated, but the staff was friendly and the room was very clean.

We went to get breakfast and literally there wasn't anything available. Not even coffee. We were not the only guests waiting at 6:30 a m. Went up town to get something to eat.

At best, it's just a place to sleep at night. The area surrounding the motel is depressing. There were traveling construction workers who took up most of the parking with bucket trucks and pickups, and they never left. There were broken down vehicles in the lot being repaired. Carpet on the stairs was dirty and worn. Bathroom door trim is rusting. Pets are not allowed, yet there were two dogs there during our stay, one of which was a pitbull that growled at my wife in the hallway. We complained to the front desk attendant and nothing was done about it - until it growled and barked at a member of their staff. In all honesty, youre better off getting a home rental elsewhere.

It took ten minutes to check in to one room. Then he got on the phone to help someone instead of checking us in to our second room. I honestly booked it from the reviews that were on the app. I have no idea how it got excellent ratings. Our room was clean and the bed was comfy. Tv didn’t work so I called the office, they never came. Doors and locks were sketchy with holes where the old dead bolts were. Breakfast was decent with waffles, cereal, yogurt and oatmeal packets. The manager on duty in the morning was so much better than the guy at night. Too bad she wasn’t on when we checked in.

The exterior could possibly use some tlc and attention but the interior and the staff we met were beyond exceptional. We have never stayed in a cleaner room and trust me we’ve been all over and stayed in much higher, top rated hotels. Our room was quiet, well maintained and very comfortable!
