Property
The spacious 10,000-square-foot property offers breathtaking views of hills and forests at every turn. It houses the beautiful country house, a private tennis court, a pool, a fitness chalet and three golf tees. Access via a quiet side road is secured by an entry gate. A roundabout offers three fixed parking spaces and space for 2 additional vehicles including an electric vehicle charging station with IEC type 2 plug for all electric vehicles authorized in Europe. The entire property is secured and fenced. A large hedge along the quiet access road guarantees privacy. Security is nevertheless provided, hidden behind trees are neighbors in the immediate vicinity.
Villa
The spacious villa in country house style can accommodate up to 10 people. The open-plan living-dining area, spread over two floors, with its generous window fronts, forms the center and offers breathtaking views of the surrounding nature. The media area consists of a television and a 5.1 audio system. Popular streaming apps like Netflix and Spotify can address the devices directly from the app. Year-round, the combined heat pump and air conditioner in the living room ensures comfortable temperatures. In addition to the fireplace, underfloor heating also guarantees cozy warm feet in winter.
The fully equipped kitchen leaves nothing to be desired. In addition to the six-burner electric stove and oven with extractor hood, large side-by-side refrigerator and freezer with ice maker and a dishwasher, you can use the microwave, Nespresso coffee machine, kettle and toaster. Cooking utensils, dishes and cutlery are sufficiently available. On the shelves you will find, among other things, spices, vinegar and oil. The kitchen is equipped with another dining table, where you can have breakfast, for example.
First floor
On the first floor are two bedrooms each with extra-long 1.60x2.10m double bed and built-in wardrobes for clothes and luggage. Both bedrooms have direct terrace access and the floor-to-ceiling glass doors can be darkened electrically with shutters.
The bathroom on the first floor with washbasin, shower, toilet and urinal is provided for the guests of the lower two bedrooms. There are plenty of towels, shower gel and shampoo for free use. An additional guest toilet is centrally located on the first floor, with the sink separately located just outside the door.
A utility room provides a large washing machine as well as a modern condenser dryer for fresh laundry during longer stays. Washing and cleaning utensils are available.
Upper Floor
Openly located above the living room area is the gallery. Here is a desk space furnished - with the best view through the skylight into the greenery. With WLAN / fiber connection, you can hold an HD video conference while the rest of the family streams videos. A printer is also available and can be shared.
Upstairs is the large master bedroom with extra-large 180x210cm double bed and generous built-in wardrobe. The large and floor-to-ceiling windows provide fantastic views of mountains and fields as well as access to the private balcony. The bedroom has its own separately switchable heat pump and air conditioning.
On the upper floor there are two attic bedrooms, one behind the other, each with two single beds. Since the first of the two rooms is a passage room without its own windows, they are particularly suitable for children, who can have their own little kingdom here.
The bathroom on the upper floor leaves nothing to be desired. There is a double sink and a spacious bathtub available, as well as an additional shower. The toilet is separately lockable, a urinal is located next to the bathtub in the bathroom area. There are also sufficient towels and high-quality utensils such as shower oil, shampoo and body lotion in sustainable dispensers as well as bath additive for the bathtub.
Outdoor
Terrace: The terrace forms the flowing transition of the villa to the property. Spread across the terrace are loungers and seating with enough room for everyone, as well as a large outdoor table for eating, drinking and socializing together. An authentic charcoal grill is also available.
Pool: On the side of the house is the heated swimming pool. The pool is 11 meters long in total and 2.4 meters deep at the deepest point. The slatted child safety gate is opened and closed electrically. A heat pump heats the pool CO2 neutral, a solar shower provides hot and cold water.
Tennis: Our tennis court offers a spectacular view of the hills and forests of the Vosges. The tennis court uses a very popular surface in France from the renowned supplier COTENNIS (porous concrete coated with pure acrylic paint with silica using the TENNCOURT process). This surface makes it possible to play again very quickly after rainfall. A few minutes are enough to achieve complete drying. The court is pleasantly fast and complies with ITF 5. We can recommend allcourt tennis shoes for playing.
Golf: On a total of three holes you can polish your handicap a little in between. The greens of the golf courses are equipped with artificial grass and each has a small sand bunker. On holes 1 and 3 (61 and 75 m, respectively) you can practice pitch and put, while the rather challenging 2nd hole with its narrow middle fairway (145 m) offers the opportunity to pull out your wooden clubs!
A men's and a women's set of clubs are available for trustworthy use.
Fitness: At just under 20 square meters, the heated in-house gym has a yoga mat, a set of dumbbells, barbell and a plyo box, pull-up bar and adjustable incline bench. Gym rings and resistance bands of various strengths are also available. A Schwinn IC Elite spinning bike is also available in the villa's gallery.
Table tennis: Table tennis is a highlight for young and old, especially if you can play on the terrace with a wonderful view. Our table tennis table is always available for a game in between, together with bats and a set of balls.
Sourroundings
Due to the unique location between Alsace and Vosges there are many possibilities to be active or to enjoy nature. The Chant des Sapins property is located in eastern France, in the Grand Est region (formerly Lorraine, directly adjacent to Alsace). In the border area of the departments of Vosgues, Bas-Rhin, Meurthe-et-Moselle, Moselle and Haut-Rhin, you will find the beautiful landscape of wooded hills and mountains and charming villages. You reach the property via a quiet road used only by local traffic, just outside the small village of Le Saulcy. From the elevated position of the house you have a breathtaking view of the fir-covered hills of the Vosges.
Alsace is one of the most beautiful areas of Northern Europe with its extensive vineyards (the famous ‘Route du Vin d’ Alsace’), its charming timbered houses and its excellent restaurants.The Vosges, on the other hand, offers a wide range of winter and summer recreational opportunities. The numerous ski slopes of La Bresse (1350 m, 35 slopes) and Gerardmer (1140 m, 21 slopes) are both about an hour away. Smaller ski slopes and cross-country ski trails are in the immediate area. There are several scenic biking and hiking trails just outside the front door. Less than a kilometer away, a nearby lake offers trout fishing for fishing enthusiasts, horseback riding opportunities can be found not far away, and as well as a summer camp for children called Centre Bel Air.
The cosmopolitan city of Strasbourg is also an hour’s drive away. Here you will find several (Michelin-starred) restaurants, luxury boutiques, and the UNESCO-protected historic city center of “La petite France” has everything for an ideal day trip. In the village of Belval (just 1,000 meters from the entrance gate) you will find a pizzeria, while the town of Senones (an 8-minute drive away) offers a variety of stores and supermarkets, as well as a weekly market. The region is also home to a variety of local producers of honey, fruits, vegetables and small delicacies.
