Space

Welcome to 'Sophistication on Seaport'. Your accommodation is accessed via a private gate and two flights of stairs. Step into the hallway, leading you to the master suite with spacious built-in wardrobes and city views that can be enjoyed from the king-sized bed. The ensuite features marbled tiling, a large walk-in shower and ample vanity storage.

Continuing through the hallway, you'll find a fully appointed laundry with a washing machine, drying machine, storage room and sink. Adjacent to this, a separate toilet and basin ensure your privacy is respected.

The main bathroom, connected to the main hallway, awaits with an additional walk-in shower and a luxurious bathtub, perfect for relaxing after your travels.

Nestled away from the main suite, the second bedroom features ample storage space within the built-in wardrobes. Beautiful shutters offer a choice of natural sunlight and views of the Seaport marina or peaceful privacy.

Step into the open main living space, where the integrated kitchen, dining, and living areas unfold. The fully-appointed kitchen features all the necessary appliances, a large pantry, and plenty of cupboards.

Enjoy meals at the six-seater dining suite, flowing into the lounge room with comfortable leather couches and a Smart-TV for your entertainment. Natural light bathes the dining-living area, thoughtfully oriented for stunning marina views. An inviting sitting area invites you to relax with a collection of reading material.

Enter the deck through the sliding doors, a delightful space for all seasons. Enjoy outdoor seating, a Weber BBQ and the surrounding ambience.

Family-friendly and accommodating, a porta cot and high chair will be provided. Please bring your own porta cot linen and ensure children are supervised on the deck.

The Neighborhood

Launceston is a beautiful city blending both city and country charms, with heritage streetscapes, a slice of urban wilderness and gourmet food and drink available at every turn. We aren’t just biassed, many agree, with Launceston named Australia’s best town to visit in 2022!

Nestled amongst these iconic buildings, you will find many delicious cafés and restaurants, an array of shops and boutiques, a vast range of cocktail bars and pubs and many amenities and recreational spaces.

Launceston has many things to see and do including the vibrant Harvest Market every Saturday morning, the Princess Theatre, hosting local, interstate, and international performances, the Star Theatre for a cosy, cinematic experience, and many pubs and venues that host amazing live, musical talents.

Often referred to as the 'Lygon’ Street of Launceston, you will find some of Launceston’s most popular eateries and amenities on the illustrious Charles Street. George St is also known as ‘Eat Street’ with a range of restaurants, bars, gin houses and cafes to cater for most tastes.

The Cataract Gorge is a spectacular natural formation where you can enjoy long and short walks, fresh water swimming basins, the world's longest single-span chairlift and vibrant peacocks! An additional, unique way to experience this attraction is via the Tamar Cruise vessel, which cruises through the waters that carve between the rocky formations.

The City Park which is known for its beautiful oak tree gardens, playground for the children, a plant-filled conservatory and cheeky snow monkeys. Nearby, you will find Penny Royal World. This attraction provides you and the family with a fabulous day out, with boat rides, rock climbing, rope courses, and more found here. For the adults, Penny Royal also provides a beautiful atmosphere where you can enjoy a wine or coffee.

Your accommodation is right in the middle of the popular Seaport Precinct! Here you will find some of Launceston’s most beloved restaurants and bars scattered along the edges of the Tamar River. The beautiful Seaport Marina is located right at your doorstep, where you can watch the vessels flow in and out of calm river all day long. Restaurants to note are Mud Restaurant and Bar, the Levee Food Co. and Spice. Across the bridge you will find the Riverbend Park for all day play entertainment, the Boathouse Café, and the Silo Hotel.

To get the most out of your stay, to be able to explore all that Launceston and its surrounds have to offer, a car is recommended. Additionally, there are many alternative options listed below:

METRO BUS SERVICE: Metro bus service provides transportation throughout Launceston and its surrounding suburbs each day. To access timetables, routes, and prices, please visit the Metro Tasmania Website.

FREE TIGER BUS: The bus travels around the city. There are bus stops located nearby outside Princes Square Park and the Launceston General Hospital. It is easy to spot – painted with the black and brown stripes of a Tasmanian Tiger! For timetables and routes, please see the Metro Tasmania Website (Free Tiger Bus).

ELECTRIC SCOOTERS: You will find purple electric scooters scattered around Launceston. To access these, please download the App ‘Beam’. Please wear the helmet provided and be safe!

BIKE RENTAL: Roll Cycles at 112 Cimitiere St offer bike rentals with options to suit most riders. Whether you are taking a leisurely stroll around town or taking on our world-famous mountain bike trails, Roll Cycles have you covered.

UBER: Uber is a popular form of transport used by many locals and tourists. To use, simply download the ‘Uber’ app on your phone and book a ride to your destination.

TAXI: Local taxi service can be found on the internet.

AIRPORT SHUTTLE: The airport shuttle service can be found on the internet.

Although there is no dedicated parking for the property, there is plenty of parking just out front in either a metered, or long term parking space.

The location was great, though parking can be difficult due to local business/employee's use carpark full day and after 5pm, many restaurant customers use up the whole carpark area. Accommodation was very nice.

Great stay in Launceston
The 2 bedroom apartment is spacious and airy with 2 large bathrooms. In great location overlooking marina and lots of restaurants to choose from. Downside is there are 20 stairs to apartment which is difficult with luggage. Also no parking with apartment - closest parking is $2 per hour over 24 hours - next closest parking is $2 per hour from 8am-5pm.

Epic Marina Views
Terrific views from the balcony here. Location is 10/10 for all ages and stages. The park across the road is one of the best playgrounds we have seen in a long time. Property is beautifully presented and would have loved to stay much longer here.
