1st of all, I arrived about 1.5 hrs prior to official check-in time and although my room was ready, they charged me an early checkin fee. I asked if they could waive it but was told “no”. I had to be at a funeral by 2, so I went ahead and paid. My friend also staying at the hotel and arrived before I did, was waived the early check-in fee. Completely unfair and, I feel, discriminatory. Also bed was very worn, practically on the ground and uncomfortable.

Rooms are somewhat small but the casino is massive. Great spot. Huge bowling alley and movie theater with plenty of restaurants to eat. Great experience.

Unfortunately rating 1 star as hidden costs elevated this booking to significantly above the budget I would’ve paid. We weren’t interested in Las Vegas, but looking for someone where to stay for several days after a hiking vacation and before flying out, however hotels in the area outside of the city seemed to have closed down. I booked via Expedia as this is normally the complete cost. However, after booking I received an email to let me know that on top of the Hotel Resort fees paid to Expedia (£23 per day) I would be expected to pay $33 per day on arrival at the hotel and the refundable deposit. For me, this information was only apparent after making the booking, and ultimately had I known it I would’ve booked somewhere else. After outshining vacation we were looking forward to somewhere to relax and maybe swim. Amenities listed on Expedia stated a swimming pool and hot tub which we were excited to use. However, when we located them on the site they were closed for the season. It was still shorts weather, it’s Nevada in early November, it’s still very warm bordering on hot some days. This was an extra disappointment. The hotel itself is just a bit sad, though the room was nice. Walking through the haze of smoke in the lobby which joins with the casino is never fun. Also passing by the retirees spending the day on the sea of slot machines to reach the elevator access to the room is just somehow very depressing.

I stay here when I visit my son from San Diego about once a month and it’s perfect. Movies, bowling, great food options. I left my iPad in the room and didn’t realize until my flight landed. Called them up and they saved it for me. Always have a great time staying here.
