Secluded. Quiet. Beautiful. This three-level home on the west side of Wallowa Lake is the perfect base for your small family or two couples seeking to escape from everyday life.

Here on the lakeshore, you'll have a private dock and two decks on two levels. Step inside to find the first bathroom with a shower on your right. Just beyond, the recently remodeled kitchen features large windows with a view of Wallowa Lake and all the modern conveniences of home. Past the breakfast bar is a living room with a gas stove on your right, a dining area to your left, and sliding glass doors that open onto the main-level deck with a patio set and a grill.

Climb the spiral staircase to the open-banister loft with a queen bed and a half-bath. Descend the steps past the living room down to the lower bedroom to find French doors that open to the bottom-level deck (where the steps to the dock start) and another full bathroom with a shower/tub combination.

THINGS TO KNOW
Seasonal private docks are typically placed for Memorial Day thru Labor Day. These are placed and pulled by a 3rd party and several variables come into play such as lake levels, snow and company availability. We do our best, but these items are non refundable items if a problem occurs with their timing of putting in the water and pulling from the water.
Seasonal bbqs are available from Memorial Day thru Labor Day. BBQs are propane and tanks are provided. We strongly encourage you to review your tank level in the morning and if a replacement is needed please reach out to your local contact for a tank replacement.
No cable service, but there is a Roku/VCR/DVD.
The upper and lower floors are accessed by spiral staircase.
No fires or firepits are ever allowed due to the heavy timbered area and county restrictions.
Do not exceed the occupancy or parking limits at any time.

Parking notes: There is free parking available for 2 vehicles.

Dock details: *seasonal Docks are seasonal which means access to the lake from some lakefront homes is seasonal too. If the dock is not in the water we urge you to not try and access the lake from the home and by doing so will be at your own risk.

Nice place but could use some TLC
The view from this property is absolutely stunning, and we truly enjoyed our time here. However, there are several areas where the experience could be improved to match the expectations set by the listing. First, there was no dock as pictured—just a staircase down to the water, so we couldn’t tie off our kayaks as planned. Additionally, in the loft, only one of the four outlets worked. The bed in the loft was the hardest we’ve ever encountered, comparable to a backpacking foam mat. After sleeping on it, my ribs were sore the next day. It appears to be an old spring mattress. The pillows were extremely flat and old, with no extras provided, and all closets were locked and labeled “Private.”There was only one towel and washcloth per guest, with no extras anywhere in the house. The kitchen lacked basic supplies like napkins, pan spray, tinfoil, chip clips, or ziplock bags. Even the paper towel roll was almost gone, with no refill roll. We also spent a frustrating amount of time scrubbing grimy pans with half a sponge—the only cleaning tool provided. If tinfoil or parchment paper had been available, this could have been avoided. The toaster barely worked, requiring multiple attempts just to get the button to stay down. The BBQ wouldn’t start, and when we tried to light it manually, we discovered the provided lighter was empty. Ultimately, we had to cook our planned BBQ meal in the oven. In summary, the view is what makes this place worthwhile. However, we would have appreciate

Great lakefront house but tricky parking
We loved the privacy of this lakefront house with a beautiful view! It was very clean and had all the amenities we needed (except for extra blankets). There are two outdoor patios - upper uncovered and lower covered, so you are set for any weather condition. We loved the gas fireplaces that quickly warmed up the rooms and the fully stocked kitchen. Great fishing right off the dock! It would have been helpful if we had known about the boat/trailer parking situation before booking the property - that you can’t bring boats to the house. Once we booked it, we were told. Then our check-in instructions said to use the day use areas for boat parking. This is incorrect, because the signs at the day use area state no overnight parking. Fortunately we started calling around and found out the marina allows overnight boat/trailer parking. But then the marina folks told us we needed a permit from the forest service. So we had to hop back in the car to go get that and come back. If we had known all of this upfront it would have saved a lot of time. The house door lock instructions were incorrect but we texted the manager who quickly wrote back.

Very clean and beautiful view!
The check in process was difficult since we were given the code to the gate and not the lock box. Our phones didn't have service out there so were unable to contact the property manager. We arrived during a snow storm and 30 mph winds so we were pretty frustrated. We eventually made it in and was very happy with the house and views. One of the cleanest houses we've rented.

Quiet retreat
I read other reviews that the property was difficult to find and yes, we experienced the same. Arrived in the dark and cell/map service was spotty. The addresses aren't in chronological order for neighboring homes, so we didn't find it until we called the local number and were coached to find the location. The code box entry also gave us challenges. The site manager was great and stayed on the line with us, but a bit stressful on arrival. The home is nice, matches the photos. Seems like a small thing, but there isn't a toaster which would be nice.

Hiking in Wallowas
This home was a great haven with lakeside access for day hikes and backpack and swim and fishing in the Wallowas. Comfortable and super clean. We were surprised to find no washer/dryer available but embraced the opportunity to skip laundry for the week! Loved our week!

Beautiful lake view
We had a wonderful stay. It was super clean The only challenge were the two sets of metal spiral stairs; not easy for hauling luggage up and down and a bit scary for seniors. There were also few screens on windows so we couldn’t open up for fresh air. We hope they give instructions for tv and remotes. It took us awhile to figure these out.

Lake Shore Oasis
We had a wonderful time at the lake house. The house was spotless and the staff was very helpful on answering questions promptly. Just remember there are a lot of stairs to get down to the boating/water area, but we happily went up and down several times a day..!! We love this area and can't wait to come back again soon..!! Thank you for the beautiful home.

Fun Getaway!
We had a great weekend! The house was clean and had great amenities. The view is out of this world! It was nice to have the dock to use too. If I had any complaints it would be the driveway down to the house is very steep and might be hard for a small car to go up. We had a 4-wheel drive pick up so it wasn’t an issue but may be important for people to know with small vehicles.
