Rubicon Lake View Cabin

Introducing a charming and rustic 4-bedroom house overlooking the serene Rubicon Bay on Lake Tahoe's west shore. This peaceful abode boasts a breathtaking view of Lake Tahoe, perfect for those seeking tranquility and relaxation. The cozy fireplace adds a touch of warmth to the living space, while the deck with chairs offers a private spot to unwind and enjoy the natural surroundings. Nestled at the end of a dead-end street, this house provides a sense of seclusion and privacy, making it an ideal retreat for those looking to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Experience the beauty and serenity of Lake Tahoe's West Shore in this lovely home. If you catch it just right the house will light up with the golden alpenglow (always beautiful in the winter). It's a perfect spot to cook with loved ones and take in the beauty high up above Lake Tahoe. Don't forget to catch at least one sunset from the back deck during your stay!

Each of the four bedrooms have a queen bed. There is one bedroom on the main floor along with the kitchen, living room, bathroom, dining table and deck making it possible to just stay upstairs if you would like. Downstairs you'll find the three other bedrooms, 1 bathroom, and the laundry area. The cabin also has Wi-Fi, (though it can be spotty on the west shore) satellite TV/DVD player, and room for two cars. The proximity to the lake by car makes this the perfect spot to really experience all that Lake Tahoe has to offer. Go swimming at Meeks Bay, or kayaking with Tahoe Adventure Company, find out what the hype is all about at D.L. Bliss. Hike the surrounding trails and if nothing else, start your morning and end your day on that lake.

Best place ever
We've stayed all over Lake Tahoe maybe around 100 times, (I'm old), and all over the USA and a few countries and this was by far my favorite place ever. We all felt like we had come home. The furniture was great and comfy, the views were incredible, it came stocked with everything you've ever forgotten to bring with you. I can't say enough good things about this place. There was even a piano!

Beautiful view
We chose this property for the view which was amazing and also for the seclusion. The price wasn’t bad until those ridiculous fees were added. The place creaks and downstairs rooms hear every footstep and the lighting is low so rather dark. I wish I could have talked with the owners before shopping because it was very well stocked. Lots of games and a very homey feel. We liked that side of the lake. We were in between seasons so not sure how traffic would be but we had no issues and felt as if we were away from the busyness. Lake Tahoe is beautiful! One other thing, we arrived after dark. It was actually hard to see the entrance and rather scary approaching the front door (bears on our mind) since no lights were on.

Great property and great location
Very spacious , clean and fully furnished and equipped. Kids enjoyed so many games available at the property. The view is stunning with the view of the lake. We had one day of snow about 3 in and the side streets leading to the property was plowed and was clean shortly after the snow. It is easily accessible even in the winter. Only downside I can think of is the floor being somewhat noisy and people downstairs were woken up if someone used upstair kitchen, living room or bathroom early in the morning.

Perfect!
The house, property and view were as depicted on vrbo. Everything was clean, heat worked, plenty of supplies/dishes etc. There's a piano too! One bedroom and bathroom were on the main level and didn't require the staircase, which was great because we had a senior in the group. There is a great view of the lake from the deck, living room, and 2 of the bedrooms. Quiet, peaceful neighborhood with a market and coffee options nearby. Short drive to several beaches.

Nice, quiet location with an amazing view
My family and I stayed at this property (kids, parents, grandparents) for a relaxing few days ahead of the school year. The property is very conveniently located near Meeks Bay and D.L. Bliss campgrounds/beaches. It is somewhat far from a large grocery store, but that wasn't an issue for 3-4 days. All appliances were in good working condition and the house comfortably slept us all (8 people). We didn't need to contact the rental agency, but a lot of information was given on how to do so. We would definitely stay here again!

Beautiful view of the lake
This best thing about this house is the amazing view of the lake. The house was spacious enough for our family of 5. If you need wifi the house has wifi, but the signal is VERY weak. My husband, MIL and I were fine without it, but our teenagers were very frustrated. If we really needed a good cellular connection we just drove down the street to get it. The house is located at the end of a cul de sac so very private-great space to play badminton! The house is older and creaks a lot when walking around. The house has lots of board games. Overall, we enjoyed our visit at this house.

Eagle's Nest above Meek's Bay
A lovely cabin, unassuming from the parking area (except for the end-of-the-road privacy). It doesn't prepare you for the stupendous view from all windows of the top story. Unobstructed views of the majority of Lake Tahoe and the surrounding mountains, about 300 feet above the water and not that much further from it.

Great view and cozy place
People who want to sit back and relax the awesome view, for them this will be a great place. The nice part about the home is that even from bedroom windows you will have fantastic view of the lake. Location wise its on the west part of lake tahoe. Grocery stores are mostly situated in north and south tahoe. So if you need grocery you will have to travel to either north or south. Yes the walls between the bedrooms are thin and whenever someone walks on the top floor it creeks and sound is audible in the lower floors. But as we all were either upstairs (during day) or downstairs (during night) it worked out well for us. Overall, we would love to book the same place again in case we visit Tahoe again.

Unexpected Fantasy
Our stay at this location was fantastic. I was worried when other reviews said "thin walls" but it is a wooden building so creaks are inevitable. The house was warm when we walked in, which was great because it was about to snow that night. Thank you for great communication!

Perfect mini vacation
Our vacation was an attempt to get away and the the off season in Tahoe was perfect. We reconnected as a family. The only setback was the WiFi that didn’t work. There is decent cellular signal, enough to play music and find a restaurant but would not recommend to try working from there. We would definitely consider this rental again.

West Shore is Best Shore
We really enjoyed our stay and view!! The place was clean, the beds comfortable and the fireplace stocked. I love the West Shore of Lake Tahoe, almost equidistant from Squaw and Heavenly, and super close to my favorite-Homewood Ski Area (chiller & cheaper). The spring skiing was great this year!

Beautiful views and amazing stay!
My family stayed here for our wedding weekend and it was a great location on the West Shore. The only downside of the house is that it’s older so you can hear every step and conversation upstairs while you’re sleeping downstairs. Other than that, the deck and views were amazing!!
