Additional amenities include surfing (three blocks away) and hiking for added fun. Just south of Lahaina town and a short drive to Kaanapali, you'll have a plethora of options for shopping, dining, and entertainment. Stroll to nearby ocean beaches together, or continue to downtown Lahaina Front Street only about a mile away, and enjoy shopping and fine dining. Vacasa is not good
When we checked in late, they gave us a LOCK BOX code which didn’t work (there was an old style lockbox right next to the door). We fussed with it for about 20 mins at 11pm trying not to wake the neighbours. Turns out it was a DOOR LOCK code, whoch we couldnt see behind the security door. We had a full reno happening next door, took Vacasa 8 days to respond to us. They gave us a 10% refund. Hung iver us the whole trip. Wont ever stay at a Vacasa property again.

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER AT A PROPERTY!
First of all, I didn't realize Vaca was the property manager so I had to deal with them throughout this entire process. They were horrible. The house next door (with a shared wall) was under TOTAL CONSTRUCTION and I had to wait for DAYS as my children’s (3 yr & 3 month) health and safety were at risk due to EXTREME ON SITE NOISE AND METAL / PARTICLE DEBRIS ON OUR PROPERTY. My kids couldn't sleep & were crying with fear as our WALLS & ROOF WERE SHAKING. Men were on our property outside the glass doors (as I was breastfeeding my baby inside), standing on our roof & outside our bathroom window. Wood, metal & chemical debris are flying all over outside space. Overheard workers mention one just got out of prison & they are smoking & swearing in front of my 3-year-old. Concerned for my infant’s hearing with this extreme noise ALL DAY (I have audio recordings). OFFERING ME 20% OFF AT THE RISK OF MY KIDS’ SAFETY WAS A JOKE. We confirmed with both the contractor and the community office that this construction had been going on for a long time and the owners were aware of it for OVER A YEAR. Yet we were never informed of this before renting it.

The walk to Lahaina downtown for shopping and dinners was easy. We also enjoyed the quiet tranquility of the complex, watching the ocean sunsets and listening to the waves was a delight.

Lahaina Vacation
The Puamona resort is a superb location. Although our house was not directly on the beach, we were happy to be a short walk from downtown Lahaina and short drive from some amazing beaches. The house was suitable for our family of 5, although it could use a couple repairs (dishwasher and main shower head)and a good cleaning on the carpet. Overall a great experience though!
