The house looked amazing, super clean, and the hosts have every little detail thought of. Right down to a full pitcher of filtered water in the fridge! The beds were extremely comfortable. Excellent location too, I hope I have the opportunity to stay there again. Definitely recommend!

Oasis as a base
We loved this place!!! Really comfortable base to explore that side of cape breton. Kitchen was great, beds were great, outside nice view of mountains and the hosts are helpful and have thought of everything. This was a top notch rental. Highly recommended.

Breathtaking Huge Backyard
I couldn't keep my mouth shut up after seeing huge backyard. I was so satisfied with well-organized house for family guest. We didn't have any reasons to complain because hosts already prepared to relax, cook and barbeque. We could enjoy a great barbeque with beautiful sunset. In addition, it was so close to stunning gypsum mine lake and spot for whale-watcing. I strongly recommend the two spots that touched my family if you stay this awsome house. (I'm Korean, so plz understand my mis or confusing-expresseions)

Perfect family getaway
The photos of this place do not do it justice. Our stay was lovely! The hosts were quick and so easy to communicate with, and their guidebook in the house added to their charm! So much detail, cultural respect and sharing. The darkness of the night sky was an added bonus as we were there during a meteor shower. Had everything we could have needed. I’d highly recommend :)

Home away from home 💜
We loved this cute little home nestled in the mountains. Everything was perfect from communicating with the host, to the first steps in the home and our stay! The worst part was that we were only there for two nights. The home is very cozy. It had fast wifi and lots of channels and movies for those days when your too tired to walk and more trails. We have already started planning next years summer holidays and this place is on our list to stay for sure! 10/10 Thank you again!

Spotless and well equipped
We really enjoyed our one night stay at Nanook’s Den. It was spotless and has everything you might need. Lynn and her family have obviously put a lot of thought and care into this lovely little cottage. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again!

Homesick for Nanook’s Den!
Not only is Nanook’s Den exactly as pictured and described, it is even more comfortable and lovely. Yes, it is sparkling clean, with a fully equipped kitchen, but somehow it was a perfect warm nest to return to after a day of exploring Cape Breton. We spent 5 nights here, and Lynn checked in with us twice to ensure that we were comfortable and ask if there was anything we might need. She provided an excellent resource booklet of everything about the property, and even the nearby neighbor was friendly! Nanook’s Den is just a few minutes from the entrance to Cape Breton Highlands Park, so we spent nearly every day exploring the Cape Breton Trail and hiked 3 trails within the park. Per Lynn’s suggestion, don’t miss a hike along the Skyline Trail. The original Alaskan naive artwork throughout the home was just lovely. This darling home is a hidden gem…just like its hostess!

Perfect for the night
This cute new little cottage was perfect for our family of four during our tour of the Cabot Trail! While we only had a short stop over for the night, we would have been happy to stay longer at Nanook’s Den. Everything we needed was there, no detail was overlooked. Thanks for making our amazing tour even better.
