Spacious Luxury Cabin/Home on Private Lake w/Hot Tub & Amazing Views - Bend

The Creekside Cabin is one of five luxury vacation rental homes at Tumalo Lake Lodge (tumalolakelodge) nestled among pine trees on the water's edge of Tumalo Lake. The Creekside Cabin (4 bedroom/4.5 bath, sleeps 10) is a spacious luxury cabin located just 12 miles west of downtown Bend. Situated on a unique 640-acre private parcel of forested land surrounded on all sides by the Deschutes National Forest, there are limitless trails for hiking, biking, x-country skiing and snowshoeing and the private lake offers free fishing, kayaking, canoeing and SUP. There is a wonderful 2-mile hike around the lake, a lakeside deck with chairs and a picnic table, a swimming dock and a lakeside fire pit (not allowed during fire season).

The Creekside Cabin is a high-end masterpiece of craftsmanship, constructed of huge Douglas Fir beams, cedar siding and shakes. Huge windows in every room provide a tree-house sensation with amazing views of nature in every direction. The large wrap-around deck and comfortable Adirondack chairs and rockers allow for relaxing in the fresh air while taking in the gorgeous natural surroundings and views.

The beautiful furnishings create an ambiance of casual luxury. The cabin's interior features knotty pine wood walls, doors and trim, knotty alder cabinets, and granite counter tops. The first floor open floor plan includes radiant heated floors and decorative rugs. The large living area has a wood-burning stove and huge windows with lake views. The large dining area has floor to ceiling windows with views of nature on all sides. The large chef's kitchen features granite counter tops and stainless appliances including a Jenn-Air professional stove. There is a half bath on this floor and a queen bedroom with ensuite bathroom with direct access to the deck.

The second floor features gorgeous high-pitched wood ceilings, two king bedrooms with ensuite bathroom and 1 queen bedroom with ensuite bathroom and a second living room area. The upstairs living area has huge windows with commanding views of the lake and a queen sofa bed. Bedrooms feature iron beds with quilts, cozy down comforters and pillows, and high thread count sheets. Each bedroom has amazing views in three directions. The ensuite baths feature either a shower or shower over bathtub, granite counter tops, radiant heated floors, shampoo, conditioner and body lotion amenities and hair dryer.

There are a multitude of activities and amenities right out your door on the Tumalo Lake property. Enjoy hiking (there is a wonderful 2-mile hike around the lake and other longer ones), mountain biking, swimming, boating (complimentary kayaks, canoes, SUPs), fishing (no license required), birding, and playing cornhole and horseshoes. Relax on your private deck in a hammock or at the shared fire pit or lake deck, and stargaze from your private hot tub. While wildlife viewing from your deck, the lake deck or on the lake in your kayak/canoe you may spot ducks, blue heron, osprey, golden eagles, bald eagles as well as great horned owl, pileated woodpecker and others. In winter, snowshoe, sled, x-country ski, cozy up around your wood-burning stove or outside with s'mores at the shared fire pit.

Bend and the surrounding area are world-famous for both outdoor pursuits and pristine beauty. You can catch an art exhibit, dine at an award-winning restaurant, shop the boutiques, spoil yourself at one of our many spas, trek the legendary Bend Ale Trail, listen to live music or a enjoy a local festival. Bend makes a great spot for family-friendly fun as well, from cool snowshoe tours in some of Bend's snowy forests to watching raptors soar at the High Desert Museum.

The area is a haven for summer and winter activities including river and mountain hiking, biking, golf, river rafting, fly fishing, rock climbing, skiing, and snow shoeing. View or hike around breathtaking mountain lakes. Visit stunning national and state parks: Newberry National Volcanic Monument (a fascinating collection of volcanic landscapes, lava flows, jagged volcanic glass, rivers, lakes, caves, hot springs, waterfalls, and forests) and Smith Rock State Park (a dramatic setting with great hiking, rock climbing and wildlife viewing that has been the backdrop of many western movies). Beautiful cabin and location
The cabin was amazing and the location is stunning. The pictures do not do it justice. The house was clean and had everything that is needed. It’s the quietest place I have ever been and the wildlife frequently wonders around the cabin.

Wonderful get away to a quiet and peaceful mountain luxury cabin.
This is our second time staying at this cabin. It has plenty of space for my family of 8. The view from the inside is honestly our favorite! HUGE windows every you turn! The trees and the lake with the snow is breathtaking. We explored downtown Bend this time and went snow skiing at Mt. Bachlor. Our drive was only about 30 min to ski. Also, the kitchen is stocked with everything you might need. We did a family “bake off” and had plenty of space and all of the things needed! It truly is a quiet, peaceful place. Don’t forget to do the 2 mile hike outside of the cabin around the lake, my daughter is a photographer and she gets amazing shots on the hike! We are from the OKC area and we travel a long way to get to this cabin. In other words, it’s worth it! We hope to come back a 3rd time in the future.

Beautiful location
We brought my 93 year old in-laws, sister and brother in law, niece and her son to the cabin for Christmas. It was perfect for the size of our group and the cabin was beautifully appointed. I loved the fact that they had a Christmas tree for us to put gifts under! Only disappointment was no snow, can't fault Tracy and Bill for that. We did do the hike around the lake and the lake was frozen enough to walk out on. We had a wonderful Christmas. Jeanne

The PERFECT Getaway
What an amazing property on a beautiful lake with plenty of canoe's and paddleboards. We enjoyed the 2-mile hike around the lake every morning. We had 4 couples stay and not 1 person cared which room they got because each one had it's own master bath! I will not hesitate to tell anyone looking to visit the Bend area to stay here if they want a private, relaxing stat 1.5 miles into the woods.

Hiking in Paradise
Upon our easy check in we entered our large well appointed cabin. All of the bedrooms were spacious with en-suite bathrooms and comfy beds. We cooked every night for a week and had everything we needed to prepare our meals and a large table for everyone to enjoy dinner together. We had happy hour every evening on the deck and enjoyed being out on the lake every day. Bend is about 25 minutes away and such a great town where we enjoyed some awesome breweries. Great coming back to a comfortable house after a day of hiking. Would definitely recommend.

Property is amazing, so quiet and relaxing. Just what we needed. Home is outfitted extremely well. We love the remoteness of the cabin. It was so easy to disconnect from everything for a much needed time to decompress. I can't recommend more highly.

Beautiful oasis away from the craziness of real life
Stayed here for 4 days at the end of our family trip to Oregon. This cabin is perfect - clean, spacious and beautiful. My family loved the lake - taking out the kayaks, canoes or paddle boards, great trout fishing, and the location can’t be beat. Close to hikes and downtown Bend. Fabulous place to disconnect from The stresses of real life and spend quality family time. My teenagers even loved it!

Great experience!
Creekside cabin is a very nice house in a great location and was perfect for a winter getaway with friends. The remoteness was an added benefit yet it’s less than 30 minutes from downtown Bend. You can snowshoe right out the door or make the 45 minute trip to Mt Bachelor for downhill. Tracy and Bill are super hosts, the house was exactly what we were looking for, and we wouldn’t hesitate to come back again.

Actually, the pictures don't do this place justice. The house was immaculate, absolutely beautiful, and was fully stocked with everything we needed, including a ton of firewood! The property was beautiful - great fire pit and hiking trail. If we make it back to Bend, we would definitely hope to stay here again!!

Very beautiful home
This home is gorgeous and just as described in the listing. My only regret is that I had 5 guests over for a impromptu breakfast which I knew part of the contract. Next thing I knew Bill walked right into the house and I met with him to let him know that I was sorry and would have them leave or he could charge me the fee (as per the contract). Bill was very nice and said that it was fine and to make sure to clean up after ourselves. I made sure to extra clean the kitchen and the entire house. The next day Bill was going through our trash cans and stated we had too much garbage, which I was not aware was part of the contract. I explained to Bill that we are prepping food for our son's wedding (which was off site) and if he wanted us to take home some garbage/recyclables, we would be happy too. Bill stated it was fine. I was surprised to hear from Tracey a few days later that we would not be invited back to her property. And while I 100% admit that we had 5 extra guests for one hour that broke the contract, I felt I had done my due diligence after Bill came to rectify/make right the situation. It does sadden me that I was judged after the fact. Other than that, the property is great and we had a great time.

This property was a perfect place for our group of friends. We loved everything about this place! The fact that each couple got their own bedroom and private bath. Enough space to hang out as a group, but also enough space for us to separate. The huge, fully furnished kitchen. We were decently surprised with all the kitchen gadgets, spices, and other miscellaneous kitchen amenities that it came fully stocked with. The pictures perfectly depicted every room. The size and everything. The deck was a great place to hang out as well. We also loved how secluded the cabins were. We loved walking around the property. Enjoying the views of the beautiful lake. This is definitely a place that we would all love to come back to someday! Perfect getaway during the winter or summer!

Ski Trip to Bend
What a beautiful property! It’s was a perfect refuge for us on our annual ski trip.. The cabin was gorgeous and very well appointed - cozy beds, an easy kitchen to work in with everything you need, and a fire in the stove ready to light. The setting was serene and beautiful with trails to explore and many spots along the lake to enjoy the view. Far away enough from Bend to get out of the fray, but close enough to easily drive in for dinner or shopping. It’s about a 40 minute drive to Mt. Bachelor but we’ll worth it for such an amazing cabin and location.
