The smell from the sewer overflowing in the street, nothing the hotel could do about. Coffee set up in the room had a $80 peso charge. During the night there was a loud party going on the beach in front of the hotel. Again nothing the hotel had control of.

The property is very well located, but there're a couple significant improvement opportunities in terms of the room's furniture condition, shower drain smell horrible condition and staff service attitude. The staff are extremely friendly. Andrea the receptionist was always happy to help with any of my inquiries. The room was spacious and clean. The TV had several channels. Bathroom and shower were very nice. The bed was very comfortable. The view from the balcony was exceptional. The pool was clean and had several chairs/beds. We basically had the pool to ourselves for a handful of days. Downtown is 5 min away via taxi/uber. Only issues I had were: the walls are thin. I could hear chairs moving, showers turning on, people chatting/walking (I’m a light sleeper). The jetted tub in my room did not have hot water. It came out lukewarm at most. Would stay here again. Great prices!

Expedia does not do this place & the room justice with their photos. It is not a 5 star resort but it’s also not a dingy hotel. It’s just an older property so some thing’s just are little outdated like in our room for example, there’s like cracks or chipped paint and then the pool is outdated but it’s such a vibe and feels amazing!! The beach is not the nicest part of the beach but it’s pretty. The rooms are really spacious and the beach view is beautiful !!! The staff is so nice and welcoming, the restaurants food is soooo good, breakfast is included and it’s not just a normal continental breakfast, it’s an actual restaurant that it’s a food menu. It’s about a 12 minute drive from malecon but easy to grab a cab or an Uber (front desk can help with a cab) and like 15mins from the airport. There’s currently no property next door, and a couple properties down it’s just like an abandoned hotel but this hotel is right on the beach you have access to it from the pool !! Overall I would rate it like 7/10!

My stay was wonderful at La Posada Hotel. The room and facilities were very clean. The staff was helpful and kind. It was perfect for the quiet and relaxing vacation I wanted. The sunrise and sunset view from balcony was unbeatable.

This property was perfect for a quiet romantic couple's vacation. The staff are so sweet and helpful. The food was amazing. It felt homie and relaxing. The property could use a gift shop or little store for essentials guests may have forgotten. The property could use some upgrades to the outside furniture maybe choosing a more weather-resistant material. My only dislike is the birds that kept flying into the pool area. If there were a way to deter them from staying around that would be great. But overall we loved our stay and will be returning soon. The Spanish word La Paz means Peace in English; we certainly had that the week we were there. Thank you to the entire hotel staff.
