The apartment is set in the tranquil village of Lajares.
The apartment has lush green volcanic gardens with views over open fields and extinct volcanoes.

Lajares is a multi cultural village set in the north of the island of Fuerteventura set midway between the main tourist resort of Corralejo, the quieter Canarian village of El Cotillo and the very small hamlet of Majanicho.

Excellent accommodation
Absolutely no issues experienced. I enjoyed my time in Lajares, it was just what I needed. I mixed my time with poolside days and out and about days. This is a good location away from the hustle and bustle of Corralejo but close enough (by car) to provide everything needed. Special thanks to Martin for guiding me in after my flight was delayed which meant driving from the airport after dark - the street turning was easily missed.

If you want a totally relaxing non commercialised break this is the only way to do it. Apartment is exactly as described, very clean and has everything you need. The pool is AMAZING, that's the only word I can give it, warm and so clean. The patio area is lovely with good shelter as well as a great suntrap. The view's from the garden are truly stunning. BBQ was great and was used by us many times. Cannot fault the place. The surrounding area is very quiet so no noisy bars blasting music till silly o'clock. The hosts Martin and Sue are very welcoming and very helpful and are a truly lovely couple. We would highly recommend this apartment if you want a chilled relaxed holiday

We read all the reviews which said that you had sole use of the pool and that the hosts closed the shutters for privacy, well the shutters were never shut and when we asked for the shutters to be closed we were told if you dont like it go somewhere else !!! and the pool is not your area and we should stay in our designated area. We found another private villa 10 mins away and left the next day and had a great holiday. If you want a private relaxing holiday then stay well away form this one.

Walking distance of a great lad back town
We loved lajares and the fact that we could walk into town from the property. Lots of restaurant choices, great coffee stops and just 10 minutes to amazing beaches. A great base for enjoying fuerteventura.

Very clean, quiet apartment, great size for a couple. Very well equipped, large pool and nice gardens. On the edge of Lajares but within easy walking distance of shops and restaurants, great walk up volcano just up from apartment. Owners not there when we stayed, but good communications.

Excellent relaxing 2 weeks, Host's Martin & Suewho live o site, give you complete freedom of there, garden & pool area,they close there doors & windows to your area so you have complete privacy, but you have the knowledge that someone is around if you need anything. Pool is an excellent size & lovely & warm (heated by solar) Accommodation is fine, kitchen well equipped, tv with multi language channels & netflix, nice bedroom & bathroom with shower. Car parking is secure with remote gate. Perfect place to chill out for couple. There are 2 bars within a 3 min walk, lajares village is a 15 min walk where there various cafe's, bars & restaurants.

We've had the best time at Martin's and Sue's beautiful Villa.
Our stay was amazing, the Villa is definitely much spacious than portaited on the pictures. And so is the pool. Martin and Sue are the kindest and most hospitable people I've had an honour to have met. Everything was spot on and I have absolutely nothing to complain about :). Property lovely and clean and perfectly adequate as a base for exploring the top half of the island. 10 minutes to Corralejo, 10 minutes to El Cotillo and just over half hour from the airport. Martin and Sue were great hosts - allowed us our privacy but made it clear they were on hand if needed. Accommodation was well equipped and comfortable , the broadband was good, shower hot and we switched off and relaxed. We will be back.

Great pool, helpful owners, beautiful garden
This property is located in the lovely small town of Lazares, which is peaceful and well away from the tourist hotspots, but is pretty cool with some nice shops and bars available. The pool is nice and warm and a great size. The garden is a delight with some beautiful flowers which are a challenge to grow in this environment. The house has all that you need for a relaxing break for a couple. The owners Martin and Sue are very attentive and helpful and allow you all the privacy you need. The property is really good value for money and the location really is excellent. Just up the road is the start of the walk up to the Calderon Hondo Volcano which is spectacular. Beaches on East and West coast only 10 -15 minutes drive away. Recommend Aqua Tiki bar up the road, and the Bodega restaurant on the high street

We went to Fuerteventura for the first time and stayed in Martin's villa. it was amazing. they were very friendly and welcoming. The area was quite and very private aswell. we has plenty parking space and the pool was one of best we have been on. they left us alone and didn't disturb us at all during our stay. we would love to go back again. thank you for being a great host!!!

Absolutely lovely place
Great little getaway. We went at the end of October and had a fabulous week. The owners are very friendly and unobtrusive - there if you need them and invisible the rest of the time. The pictures don't do the apartment justice, and my OCD wife was blown away with the level of cleanliness compared to other villas we have stayed at. Will definitely go again.

The perfect apartment for a couple
The apartment is ideal for a couple, it's clean, well equipped and has the best pool that we have ever had and we have had a few in the last few years. The area around Lejares is very pleasant and as such not full of tourists and has a number of good restaurants within easy walking distant. Martin and Sue are a really nice couple who are there if you need them but respect your privacy if not. The builders yard next door decided to do some alterations to existing buildings which made it noisy at times but I think we were just unlucky they chose the time we were there to do it and it's normally very peaceful. Would we return ? yes we would without a doubt and would like to thank Martin and Sue for being the perfect hosts Malcolm & Lynne

I recently enjoyed a very peaceful week at this apartment. The property was very clean and had everything I needed. The pool is delightful and perfect for a dip at any time. Very comfy bed and sofa. Nice shower, and outdoor area a real sun trap. Had a couple of BBQ s, prawns at the local supermarket a real bargain! Just a few hundred metres up the road, you can enjoy a climb up the extinct volcano, Calderon Hondo and if you climb up to see the sunrise, you're guaranteed of an amazing experience. The beaches of Corralejo and El Cotillo are both within a short drive and are beautiful golden sandy beaches. Marrajo Beach just to the north of Cotillo has excellent snorkeling. If you're looking for a beach with loungers and umbrellas, head for the dunes at Corralejo but be careful where you swim (ideally with lufeguard) as there can be some strong currents. There's a very chilled bar just up the road that dies great burgers, and a restaurant on the road down into Lajares that looks great but unfortunately not open last week of Sept. In Lajares, there's a good range of eating places, but not that exciting - I recommend driving to Cotillo where there's a huge range of great restaurants. Good supermarket in Lajares. Would definitely rent the property again. Thanks to Mike and Sue who made me very welcome and checked all was OK even though they were away from the villa.

Fantastic Location, and perfect Place
We stayed for 2 weeks, and had a wonderful time. I feel this property is ideally located as long as you have a car, as you can get to most places north of the island very quickly. The property is nice and clean and plenty big enough for a couple. The hosts are great as well. Very friendly, knowledgeable and although it is attached to there house you really don't see or hear them, unless you want them. The salt water pool is a great addition and was used daily, so much nicer than a chlorinated pool i feel. Food in the surrounding villages is fantastic and good value and the local walk up the volcano is certainly worth the effort. All in all i can honestly say one of the best holidays i have had in years and i wouldn't hesitate in returning or recommending

From a practical point of view the apartment is comfortable, spacious, and well-equipped with a pleasant garden aspect and covered terrace for relaxing or dining out of the sun but also having ample space around the pool for sun bathing. The area is very quiet and away from main roads but perfect as a base for exploring the island by foot, car, or bike. Buses to Corralejo and El Cotillo are frequent and run on time and can be caught from two or three bus stops in Lajares' main street. All of the above and the superb hosts, Martin and Sue, made this hands down the best location we have stayed at during the many years we have been travelling to mainland Spain and Fuerteventura; far and away the most relaxing holiday we have had in a long time.
