Relatively easy to find just off Interstate 8 but not that close to dining & shopping — needed a car to get to Grossmont Shopping Center. Hotel itself was newish and our room was clean and comfortable— hope to go back as Best Wstn La Mesa makes San Diego much more affordable!

This is a dated property that has been updated a little to meet minimum standards for this brand name. Very tight parking in places. Not recommended for trailers. hallway rugs very old but rooms seem remodeled. Rooms relatively clean but toilet wobbled on mounts. Location is RIGHT next to the interstate so it was very noisy. NO CAFFINATED COFFEE for room coffee makers, even at desk. Not cool. Tolerable but photos are misleading.
