Loved my stay here. Away from the hustle and bustle of the main tourist area Gion which I loved. The restaurant was amazing and I had breakfast (which was ok) but the dinner was really good. The rooms are beautiful and normal sized for japan. The hotel itself was very very clean and quiet. The staff were always helpful kind and ready with suggestions should you need any, and every one spoke English for those who this matters to. (although I’m always ok if they don’t. I don’t believe in the English superior idea lol) I would stay here again 1000x over

Location location location! Not only that but the staff al spoke English which made it so much easier when going to and from Kyoto Station. It’s incredibly close to Nishiki Market and temples. Will be staying here every time I visit Kyoto.

The best hotel I’ve stayed at! The rooms are big and the beds are super comfy! The location is prime, it’s in the middle of all the attractions close to the train. I will definitely be staying here again.

I first stayed on a superior room, went to a other Town and came back to a deluxe room (more expensive) it was supposed to be bigger and better, it wasn't. It was smaller. I am not sure if they didnt have a room available or what was the reason for this. But it was dissapointing. The hotel is clean, the rooms are nice. Bathroom is great.

Great hotel, new and properly mantained. Rooms are a bit bigger than your average Japanese hotel room. Thenonly issue isbthat the rooftop is exclusive use for the highest suites. The hotel is very clean, staff are very helpful.

Very disappointed
On initial appearance it looks like a quality hotel however, there were a number of issues. For a stay longer than overnight the room is very restricted. There is nowhere to unpack your luggage into. No drawers or shelves; just 4 coat hangers on a rail opposite the wash area. There are no towel rails in the bathroom to hang a wet bath towel. The beds are comfortable but are futon height and if you have age restricted movements it's not very accommodating. Only 1 sachet of coffee provided with the kettle. The TV only offered domestic channels unlike all the other hotels I have stayed at on this trip - so no BBC news to catch up on. Breakfast was terrible; poor coffee and poor selection and variety of food available. No fruit juice just fruit squash. I only attended breakfast as I had prepaid for it. I only had one drink in the bar on my 2nd evening, ordered 2 small beers and wasn't given any change from my ¥2000 note. I asked for it but the barman just mumbled something and ignored me and walked away. Would I stay here again - definitely not ! I was glad to leave and move back to Osaka.
