Bit small if you're cramming more than 2 people in the room, but the location is great - walking distance to Yasaka Shrine, Gion, Yasaka Pagoda. Breakfast food is great.

Older building, but rooms are a decent size. Whole building either has heat or air conditioning, you don’t choose. If it’s too hot, you’re stuck cracking the window to cool off.

Hotel is situated in a great location, a few minutes to walk to endless shopping and dining options. There are several bus/train station nearby and a gorgeous temple/shrine less than half a block away. The room itself is slightly in the small side and there is no laundry on site however there is a 24 hour laundry mat about a 10 minute walk away. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They assisted us in transferring our luggage to our next hotel for a very affordable price.

We like the location bec of close proximity to almost everything you need - bus stop, train station and tourist spots around that are just walkable. We didn’t like the hotel room we stayed in for 8 nights because the carpet seems too dirty, so many stains around the room. The bed wasn’t comfortable either, too saggy. It looks like it has been used for 20 years already.

The property staff is limited, room cleaning every 3rd day, rooms are tidy but small. We wanted to use a luggage service to ship our large luggage to the airport and the front desk tokd us 1 day in advance is ok and it turned out they needed 2 days so we had a problem hauling luggage from Kyoto to Haneda on public transportation. The location is very convenient on the main shopping street of Gion next to a Starbucks.

The hotel charges premium rates and delivers a budget motel service . We had to clean our own room and then find somewhere to dispose our waste as the room was very small and cleaned only every third day, including garbage removal

The location was centralized that it allowed us to walk around town and visit the temples and shrines. It is also near a subway station. Our room was very small but very clean. And the staff was very helpful and friendly.They just need laundry service.

Staff was friendly and helpful. Perfect spot for transportation. My only disappointment was, they advertised laundry as it is available in the property. Let me tell you there is no laundry, hotel is referring to a laundry mart 15 minutes away. Because of this I have to mark them down for misrepresentation. Other than that, it’s a good spot with a friendly staff.

Let me preface this by saying: the staff and location were excellent. Knew going in this was an inexpensive hotel and aligned my expectations accordingly. Here’s what I have to say about the place: it’s like a well stocked dorm room and now you’re a couple months into the semester and the place feels dingy and dirty. They say they don’t do housekeeping daily for environmental reasons, but then you find a plastic bag on your door knob with towels and all sorts of toiletries wrapped in plastic. Honestly, I’d rather have the rug vacuumed and the stains on the walls washed off because I brought my own toothbrush and I don’t want more paper cups. If you do decide to stay here, and you’re a couple, I would recommend you select the room with the twin beds based on the square footage.
