Close to subway station. Only complaint is that one of their washing machine is defective and wouldn’t dry your clothes throughly - we ended up switch to machine 2 after 4hours. Thankfully, machine 1 works well. Staff were great.

I arrived at Kyoto Station at 6am, so I walked to the hotel. It took only 3-4 minutes from the station. The person (young lady) at front desk was not that friendly but was professional. They kindly hold my luggage until the check-in time. The room was compact but well designed, so the room size was good enough for one person. If you are traveling from overseas, you may feel it would be smaller, but I think that's a normal size for this type of hotel. The breakfast has a variety, and I enjoyed the meals for two days. Overall, I enjoyed my stay at this APA-hotel. I'd like to stay at this hotel again if I visit Kyoto next time.
There is a space to place luggage under the bed.

First time to Kyoto. Great location within easy five minute walking distance from Kyoto station. Excellent access to public transportation in the area to get to all major sites. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Rooms were compact yet ergonomically designed to feel spacious. Quiet. Great breakfast.

Perfectly located and accessible. My only 4/5 star is that the bed was very firm and i ended up buying pillows (conveniently located across the square for $16 usd for 2 down pillows) .The space was small but very comfortable/ functional. And the bathroom did not meet the expectation/perception of space (tub is a basin not a tub) in photos but still very functional. If you are to people get the two double or two twins even if you share one. The queen/ single double was still very accommodating for three days .

Very nice hotel. Clean property and bed. Staff are friendly. Although it’s common in Japan that they won’t let you check in before 3pm. You can try after 2:30pm, the hotel offers a little flexibility, otherwise you are expected to pay ¥1000 Japanese yen per hour if you check in early. Their location is perfect for me, so close to the Kyoto Station, just a few minutes walk. I also stayed at another APA location, they are a quality brand.

They advertised as "No smoking" hotel, but the room they assigned to me has a very strong smell of cigarettes. They tried to give me different rooms on 4th and 5th floor, but they all smell so bad. Their excuse was they are fully booked and there's no other room available. Since they gave me no choice, I stayed on the 4th floor for a few hours and went back to the counter again, because the room smells so bad with cigarettes, masking it with some strong perfumes. Finally they gave me a room on 11th floor single bed even though I booked a double bed. The Lady told me that the 4th and 5th floors used to be "SMOKING ROOM" Floors.

Located about 4 mins walk from Kyoto station, the hotel is easily accessible if you're coming by train. The bus terminal is also just outside the train station, so it is easy to travel within the city. Room was clean and sufficient. Size as a little bigger than expected for APA hotel. Hotel staff were friendly as well and spoke sufficient english. Will stay here again if coming to Kyoto.

Great location for all transportations!
Great location right next to Kyoto Station. It was very cold in mid March and the heating system wasn’t working well. The bathroom was very cold as the heat didn’t warm up the room.
