We arrived quite late at night, and check in was soooo slow. Only 1 staff member and a lot if guest arrived. They insisted on us being dropped off by buggie to the room, which was a nice touch but not needed. They didn't really give us any directions or a map of the hotel.
We had a mezzanine room which was very big, but the decor is very dated. It was lovely to have a bathroom each and plenty of space. The Aircon unit in our room dripped a lot a water onto the floor we did report it twice but it wasn't fixed and we would wake up with a puddle on the floor and a dripping noise. However, room was always restocked and cleaned everyday!
Pools are quite dirty, they have a build up of black/green algae or dirt, couldn't be sure?
Beach is lovely, plenty of beds available throughout the day. Bar service is quick, sometimes they didn't have the ingredients for drinks we wanted, but there was always and alternative.
The casablanca bar in the evening was great, staff were very attentive and really lovely.
We enjoyed the grill and fish restaurant.
The Ni Hao restaurant is aesthetically lovely. But the food is poor quality. The sushi is ok, but not fresh, definitely made off site and the bao bun was just basically a KFC burger. The chicken curry was very very bland and the sechuan beef was tasteless with very overcooked beef. The dessert was also very disappointing, the sorbet was like glue and the apple fritter was hard and like the texture was like chalk. I wouldn't recommen
