Staff were very friendly and helpful. We were planning to hike Mt Fuji, so they helped us to arrange a shuttle to take us to the station early in the morning (extra fee). They also helped to pack our breakfast to go early in the morning. Note, it is a 15 min walk to the main station so it may not be as convenient if you are coming and going a lot. They do have a coffee place near the station (Hao Coffee) where you can have your luggage stored at a fee of 500 yen per luggage (they did give us back some credit to use for drinks/coffee). We stored our luggage for half a day while we checked out the lake (after checking out of the hotel). The shuttle bus is free from 9-10 am in the mornings to take you to the main station.
We had a great stay, overall a wonderful place to stay with friendly and helpful staff!
Overall stay was good, booked Ryokan so was a wonderful experience including dinner and breakfast. Room has some smell( like old house), didn’t bother much.

Good location and great roof terrace for Fujisan:fireworks. Air conditioning noisy and breakfast limited. Awkward step into bathroom. All would be good if price was lower, but relatively expensive.
Amazing hotel with a stunning patio offering a Mount Fuji view! Kid-friendly stay. Be prepared to walk from the train station to reach the hotel. Not so many food options around but the city is walkable. Great option if you plan to explore the Kawaguchiko area.
Excellent view of Fuji from our room which we picked and great rooftop views with places to hangout. The location was walking distance to the Rope Railway, the lake, train/bus station and small streets to wander. Breakfast was included but truthfully people from the US don't eat tuna fish sandwiches for breakfast. Egg salad is almost ok but that is really a lunch thing too. The staff were very helpful and this was the only hotel in Japan where the staff spoke English well. Good size room too.
